What Is The Best Vacuum For Excessive Pet Hair?
Do you need a “pet vacuum” to clean up pet hair?
Many brands make vacuums specifically designed to clean up pet hair. But do you really need to buy these models if you have a dog or cat? Not necessarily. “A good quality vacuum will still do a good job of picking up pet hair,” says Prouty. “The advantage of pet vacuums is they generally come with a couple extra tools that make cleaning easier and more efficient.”
What Is The Difference Between A Pet Hair Vacuum And A Regular Vacuum?
I have my first golden and he is amazing. The literal only issue is that my little man sheds so much hair. I brush him once a day but after 24 hours the floors are already covered in his white hair.
Currently I use an older Dyson vacuum and it works okay but it’s pretty big and clunky.
Any other good reliable brands people could recommend?
We desperately need a new vacuum. We have three indoor dogs (two Labs and a Shih Tzu) and ALL hardwood floors. Our home is 2,000 square feet. We pride ourselves on having a very clean home — our RoboRock runs every night, and we deep clean (sweep, vacuum, mop, dust — the whole 9 yards) every Friday. Well, long story short, I am HIGHLY disappointed in the Bissell. We sold a rug that had been used in our home for less than 6 months and the buyer said they had two canisters of dirt and pet hair come out of the rug when they got home. I’m embarrassed more than anything! We keep a clean home and vacuum very regularly, so I’m mortified that it was so dirty. We are in the market for a new vacuum that is:
corded
can seamlessly go from hard floors to rugs
picks up dirt and dog hair
doesn’t tangle dog and human hair
preferably less than $350, but willing to go higher if we need.
TIA!
