Has anybody bought any of the cookware sets that they sell at Costco? We need some new pots and pans, and I was thinking of using our 2% reward certificate on a set. I haven’t decided if I want stainless steel or teflon yet (leaning stainless), but wanted to see if anybody has purchased any of the sets they sell and how you’ve liked/disliked them?

Just received my Tramontina stainless set today! It looks awesome. Have not cooked with it yet. Love the cups/quarts/oz markings on the inside of every pot. I've gone down a rabbit hole on pots/pans research the last few weeks. Bottom line: Get non-stick out of your kitchen!! PFA, PTFE, doesn't matter they are all bad. Especially if you overheat them or damage the coating. We have 4 kids so we cook a lot. We settled on: Tramontina Stainless set from Costco for most pots, also includes 2 SS pans One ceramic frying pan from Caraway (amazing pan, very non-stick but I'm told they wear out after a year or two). I can imagine us getting another one of these and just replacing them when they wear out every 1-2 years. One nice carbon steel pan, mostly because I wanted to try it out and experiment A medium cast iron pan, and a large cast iron pan Good luck man

You should only get a set if you'll use all or almost all of the pots in that set. Otherwise you're paying extra for something useless. I have Tramontina, but only because I use every one of those pots and sizes and the price was right. All clad would probably be the actual best triply brand. More on reddit.com

My advice: don't buy a set unless you really think you'll use all of the items. People rarely use all of them.
Just buy what you need.
If you're...set...on getting a set I guess as long as you get it from Costco you always have their return policy to fall back on

If you’re willing to spend on all clad it’s totally worth it. We’ve had ours for over 15 years, never replaced a single piece, no plans to any time soon. Everyone I know who got married when I did and got the anodized has already replaced theirs. You’ll always want a non stick around for those certain things like pancakes but it’s the kind of thing you use once a month and it’s not your core pots and pans. More on reddit.com
