I’m somewhat new to the sub (and keyboards in general) and I’ve looked at the guides on where to buy but haven’t had much luck. I usually find that most places don’t have a lot to offer or their sets are all sold out.
Are keycap sets typically created with a limited number of units? Is there a way to be notified when a new set drops somewhere?

Most unique/interesting keycap sets are sold through time-limited group buys with 4-6 month delivery windows. Gotta get in on those to get the best caps, though those sets also typically have extras old by the vendor when the group buy ships. Originative.co is one of the few places you can get GMK sets on-demand, and their limited/fairly boring selection is a result of that. Post in the sticky next time.

The general rule of thumb is: All the nice keycap sets you see people post are from long-passed group buys and no longer available… OR Keycaps that are in various stages of group buys where you pay today, and have your keycaps delivered in ~2 years. I’m generalizing here, but the keycap set I want (Nuclear Data) is only available on the resale market. What’s your budget?
