First, thank you all for your advice on my silk duvet insert.
I’m in Florida and it’s always hot and humid. I asked about duvet or comforter ideas, and this sub was incredible! I was able to purchase a great silk insert during Amazon Prime day.
As I’ve gotten older, I have made my home my happy place. My bed is very important to me. Not only because I suffer from insomnia AND menopause, so when I do sleep, I want to sleep well and as cool as possible. The first thing I do when I wake up is make my bed. I change my sheets twice a week. I love my bed. ❤️
So on Monday washed my duvet cover, and normally I’m a maniac about getting the bed put back together, but I was started getting busy with work and I didn’t do it. When it was time for bed, I just had my fitted sheet, flat sheet, and duvet (no cover).
Well holy smokes I slept better! I didn’t realize how heavy the duvet cover is. I started thinking about how on cruise ships they pretty much use two flat sheets as the duvet cover. Not gonna lie, I’m kind of tempted to do it, because my duvet cover is HOT 🥵 And it’s starting to heat up down here. Do y’all have any suggestions for a really light and possibly cooling duvet cover recommendations?
Again thank you for the silk suggestion! Great investment.
