How to download movies, public domain and paid?
I want download movies LEGALLY
You might be stuck with ripping. Buy DVDs (used if you can) and rip them; you're allowed to make backup copies of movies you own. If you turn around and re-sell them, you're into legal grey territory.

Before commenting Piracy is terrible, I agree the same. Still, there are certain movies that I really want to watch but aren't available on the popular Netflix/Prime/Disney+ Hotstar platforms which have led me to think about the old days of movie watching.
Earlier, I used to use Telegram extensively for my purposes but seems most of the channels for movie sharing have been banned extensively and it has completely changed how search works as well. Currently, I don't have access to any of my old channels and also couldn't find any new channels as well. If you know any tricks here, please do comment.
That leaves torrent as the only option for me(Not a big fan of this option). So I might have to resort to this in case no other option works out. Also, should I use VPN before accessing torrents nowadays or that ain't a problem?
If you have any others options too, please do comment. Thanks :)

Are there websites and if so where are they?

Torrent files and sites scares me. Copyright laws are to broad. Movies on YouTube are copyright and yet you can download from them. Websites like WIP no longer exist due to getting shutdown for violations! What is the difference? On Amazon you can purchase movies, TV series or episodes, however, can't take them with you when you close the account.
