Core Temperature Wearables - Are We There Yet?
April 8, 2026 - Unlike the CORE and Kenzen options, Cosinuss° is an "in-ear" sensor with a battery life of up to 24hrs. Cosinuss° states "Our ergonomic wearables offer a more cost-effective and accurate alternative to the competition for measuring the following: blood oxygen saturation, core body temperature, heart rate, heart rate variability, respiratory rate and position/acceleration".

Just how high should room tempreaure be??I don’t follow this. You just take a normal household thermometer, put it under your tongue, and in a moment it will show your core temperature. How high should i warm my trainig ROOM? Room. Place when i train. Pain cave. More on forum.slowtwitch.com

body temperature sensor?
You're only ever going to be able to measure skin temperature rather than body temperature, unless you keep the sensor in your mouth, ear or rear entrance all the time. AFAIK, skin temperature is fairly useless for what you want to do with it. There are medical-grade temperature sensors that you can swallow, but they last only until your next #2 and I doubt they're available to consumers to be honest. More on reddit.com

Assessing Non-Intrusive Wearable Devices for Tracking Core Body Temperature in Hot Working Conditions
June 3, 2023 - Due to this limitation, using an ingestible telemetric pill that records gastrointestinal temperature from the time of ingestion until it is expelled has been reported as another way of monitoring the core temperature [14,15,16]. Research has shown that the temperature measurements taken by these telemetric pills are comparable to measurements taken from the esophagus and rectum during physical activity in hot environments [17]. One example of this pill is the Ingestible Core Body Temperature Sensor (ICTS) developed by CorTemp®. When the ICTS has been ingested, the signal from the sensor is h

Testing was conducted by members ... 2021). Data was collected from 19 national women’s field hockey squad members during 4 sessions (1x training session and 3x simulated matches). Players ingested a telemetric temperature pill (e-Celsius, BodyCAP, France) ∼12 h prior to the session. Thirty minutes prior to the session, players were then fitted with a wearable temperature sensor (CORE, greenTEG ...

Non-Invasive Monitoring of Core Body Temperature for Targeted Temperature Management in Post-Cardiac Arrest Care - PMC
SpotOn™ is applied to the forehead, creates an isothermic tunnel under the measurement site by insulating heat loss from the skin surface, and estimates core body temperature using the zero-heat-flux technology (7). In perioperative settings, SpotOn™ showed good correlation, accuracy, and precision when compared to esophageal, nasopharyngeal, and pulmonary artery sensors (8–10) and was better than bladder temperature sensors (10).

r/homeassistant on Reddit: body temperature sensor?
March 3, 2023 -

not a real HA topic, but is there any good way to track body temperature? In case someone is ill and have fever, do we have decent sensor to measure body temperature? I would like to make a strap on/wearable device (doesn't need to be portable) that could be used in case virus hits someone hard and you stay in the bed. Unfortunately it is easier to make diy ECG than body temp sensor.

Am I stupid? Also... where is a decent point to attach such a device for prolonged period of time? I doubt one want to spend whole day with sensor inside mouth...

Edit: sensor I mean sensor module for DIY sensor for arduino/ESPhome.

Sufficient comparators were defined as ingestible telemetric temperature pills, rectal thermometers, or esophageal thermometers in accordance with the previous literature demonstrating the effectiveness of these methods in measuring the core body temperature [30]. The following data were extracted from papers meeting the inclusion and exclusion criteria: Study metrics and methodology, including participant demographics and testing conditions; Characteristics of the CBT predictive algorithm, including modeling method and number and locations of sensors;

CORE™ wearable sensor: Comparison against gastrointestinal temperature during cold water ingestion and a 5 km running time-trial - ScienceDirect
June 14, 2023 - It is not the case, however, for wearable sensors, which are growing in availability and are relatively affordable compared to medical equipment (Vijayan et al., 2021). In 2020, the Swiss company GreenTeg launched the CORE™ (GreenTeg, 2023), a compact, light, rechargeable and relatively low-cost wearable device that estimates TC relying on data from skin temperature, heat flux and heart rate.

r/running on Reddit: Device to monitor body temperature while running?
June 27, 2023 -

I had heat stroke at a marathon last year, so I want to take whatever precaution I can to prevent that from happening again. I'm familiar with all the early symptoms of heat stroke, as well as all the standard ways to prevent it.

But I'm looking for a good device to monitor body temp while running to help me detect when I'm getting near the danger zone. Anyone have any good suggestions? Anyone have good experience with the Core sensor or hDrop or anything other device for this purpose? Being able to see my body temp on my Garmin watch would be a big plus.

September 21, 2024 -

Those of you who bought a core temperature sensor, was it worth it? If you dont want to use it for heat training specifically, is it useful for general training as well? Like can you wait till your body body has cooled down again between efforts and improve training quality that way or stuff like that? Especially on the trainer where heat is generally an issue.

Also the only company I know of that makes a sensor is greenTEG and it costs 280€. Thats a hell of a lot for a freakin thermometer with a bluetooth/ANT+ function. Hopefully some asian company realizes that they can make a bit of money and comes up with a cheaper option to sell on aliexpress.
