r/YouShouldKnow on Reddit: YSK Pre-2005 Corelle dishes were extremely high in lead. See if you have any of the patterns mentioned in linked article.
January 25, 2021 -

Why YSK: To save your and your loved ones' brains and health.

Pre-2005 Corelle dishes tested extremely high in lead - see the infographic and pics below it in this article to identify which ones you grew up with and may still have. Mention this to your friends and family to take these out of circulation. Someone else pointed out there is another article saying that even if the decor is on the outside of the dishes it is dangerous, i have to look for that one.

I had read on reddit that a lot of Boomers (and silent generation, maybe?) lost IQ points due to growing up drinking lead in pipes, being around lead in gas, etc. at the time, and I thought I was young enough to not have to worry about that. Although knowing that makes me more forgiving of my mother :-)

But from the linked article I can see I grew up (with my developing brain as a child and teen) using two of the patterns in the infographic. Better to know now than never.
