Hi everyone,
It was only recently until I realized there is computer science for both College of Engineering and Arts and Science. As a student who hates subjects like history and english, and more of a STEM guy (math, chem, comp sci etc), does it make more sense to apply for the College of Engineering in my application? How will my courses be different if I choose CAS, and are there like different requirements for choosing either one? I just would like a clear answer distinguishing these two different colleges for the same major, so I know for sure which one to apply for if I want to major in computer science.

I'm a CS Major in arts which is the less popular option, here are the main differences: classes: engineering has ENGRIs, chemistry and some other stuff, but A&S has language requirements and a few science requirements. Depending on whether you have AP credit/speak a language/enjoy, you should select around this. double majors: if you want to double in an arts major like Math, it's easier to do CS in arts, if you want to double in something like OR, engineering is significantly better. project teams - some elitist project teams like to select kids from engineering because the way you receive academic credits for project teams allows the teams to control you a little better. other external classes - if you want your random distribution classes to be more liberal artsy, A&S is better, if you want them to be more sciency, engineering is better. Those are the main differences I'm familiar with, the CS major itself is identical between both schools, the choice you have to make is what are the non CS classes you want to take

In CoE you still need to take 6 liberal studies courses although you can choose to avoid history or any of the more writing intensive classes. In CoE you'll be required to take math, chemistry, and physics and in CAS the only main thing I know is you need to take a foreign language. https://www.engineering.cornell.edu/students/undergraduate-students/curriculum/undergraduate-requirements ^ CoE Requirements. Can probably find something similar to CAS if you google. In general though, from what I've heard, the CS major requirements though are the same for both colleges.
