Hi! I am currently filling out the CSS profile. Cornell asks for the "Cornell University Assigned ID (if known)." When I go on Cornell's applicant portal, the only number I see is a 9 digit "reference" number in case I need to contact Cornell about anything.
What do I do? Do I use that reference number as the Cornell ID in the CSS profile or do I just leave it blank?
Thanks!
Because Cornell University consistently ignored my emails, I have asked them multiple times for the CSS profile code. However, after a while, they replied and sent me two more CSS codes. I can therefore provide it to you if you're interested.

Should I receive a confirmation email from Cornell saying that they have received my CSS profile? I got one from CollegeBoard but not from Cornell and it's been 2 weeks since I submitted the application. I was curious since their website mentions this regarding the financial aid applications:
Application Confirmation -
The College Board (CSS Profile), the U.S. Department of Education (FAFSA), and/or the New York Higher Education Services Corporation (NYS Aid Application) confirm receipt of your application(s) by email
Cornell will also confirm receipt of your application(s) by email
I do not see the CSS profile on my Cornell application checklist either. Should I be worried?
Seems like every year it sneaks up earlier

Hi!
Okay so on Cornell's website to get a css fee waiver it says this:
CSS Profile fee waiver requests must be sent to intl-finaid@cornell.edu by the stated application deadlines
(The deadline was January 2)
I sent one on December 23 but they were closed for winter break so I got an automated reply that included:
Thank you for your message. Cornell University is closed for Winter Break until Tuesday, January 3. It will take several days to respond to your email after that date. Please do not send duplicate messages. To request a CSS profile fee waiver, send an email to finaid@cornell.edu. Please do not send a duplicate request for the waiver. We will allow a grace period around the January 2 deadline and your CSS profile will be accepted through January 20, 2023.
January 20 is getting close so now im getting a little worried that maybe i didnt understand the email right. They mention not to send a duplicate request for the waiver, but the email they give is different to the one I emailed. Am I good or should I email finaid@cornell.edu instead?
I am an international student and me and my parents knew almost nothing about how to apply for financial (even applying to colleges was hard) so we talked with a counselor (not actually a counselor but she knew some things about applying) and she told us that to apply for financial aid you first had to be accepted by the university. Did I ruin my chances to get financial aid?
