Sadly this is kinda typical, can't imagine it's any better with the strike happening, though I'm not sure if the financial aid office is part of the union. Last year I had trouble getting paid for my summer FWS job because I couldn't get the office to sort out my financial aid package for like months.

Normally you’d email financial aid and provide documentation explaining why your demonstrated need is higher (ie. medical bills). In your situation it would be a lot different and it might be best to just talk to the financial aid office on the phone and figure out what your options are
More on reddit.comI recieved an email today from the FAO that I was missing two tax related documents. Now, I know many A2Cers will assert that I didn’t turn them in, but here’s the thing: I uploaded them to IDOC way back in December.
I still sent in those documents they requested however, and uploaded through the given portal. Later today, another email was sent listing the outstanding items they still need from me. I know that uploading docs takes around 2-3 business days, so I ignored that.
However, I need some clarity on the docs being requested. Has anyone else ever experienced this? Did it also happen insanely close to decision day? I’m just a bit nervous because again, I already turned in the docs they’re looking for.
What do you guys think?
So, I received a “Missing Information Notice” email from Cornell’s financial aid office, asking me to submit documents to determine my eligibly for aid (including parent’s tax return and a NonCustodial Parent Waiver).
Although submitting a copy of my parent’s tax return was always a document requested by Cornell in my IDOC dashboard, the NonCustodial parent waiver is a new, and not previously asked for document.
Would this be a positive indicator of acceptance? I know the financial aid office and the admissions office are separate for domestic applicants, but I also know that there is a correlation with receiving FinAid emails and being requested to provide additional information with schools like Dartmouth and Yale. Is this the same for Cornell?
