We are getting a wall mounted corner cabinet (40" high) and are trying to decide if we should do shelves or carousel.
On one hand i would get more storage space with the shelves, but i know anything that goes to the back of the corner cabinet shelf will be lost in space and time.
On the other hand, if i get a carousel i think I'm limited to only 2 shelves?, also anyone have any thoughts on what should be in a corner wall cabinet carousel?. i was thinking spices?, i can see that working for the lower carousel but the upper shelf?...

We store tupperware/pyrex along with glass casserole dishes etc. The corners are too deep to reach easily into the back. We tested the carousel in the store and like them for the base corner cabinet but no the wall cabinet

I find that while carousels provide a convenient access to items stored, there is some wasted space due to geometry. Also consider the weight limit of each shelf (it's in the specifications), there's only so much weight it will support. We opted with putting shelves in our corner cabinets, custom cut to length. Having lighting inside the cabinet makes it easier to find stuff in the deepest corner!!

The best configuration depends on the particular space available. The Susan is 38x24 which translates to 38” from each wall. The doors are about 12” each. My IKEA Susan has great storage!

Hey gang, just installed a new Sektion kitchen. One problem that I knew that I would have is with the corner cabinet and its large blind corner, and the poor accessibility of anything around that corner.
The only solution that Ikea seems to offer is this pull-out fitting, but its shape results in a lot of unused real estate. Not only is it a semicircle inside a rectangle (so you lose the storage space that the corners would offer), it also does not seem to go all the way to the very back of the cabinet. That essentially turns a very spacious cabinet into something much smaller.
Are there any other solutions out there (Ikea or third-party) that can increase the accessibility of things way back in the cabinet, but without having to sacrifice so much space? Am I trying to have my cake and eat it too?

Please keep in mind that using products outside of the IKEA kitchen system will void the warranty on the cabinet. That being said, the inside of the 47 is 45.5 inches, so if you're looking for alternative, it has to fit in a 45.5 inch space with the ability to swing in and out if you're going that route. IKEA also carries stationary shelves for the 47. Good luck.

I have the pull out in the blind corner cabinet. It fits A LOT. I have a crock pot, Instant Pot, toaster, blender, hand mixer, waffle maker and food processor stored on mine.
