Hey, I got the 4000D case which came with 3 AF120 fans in the front and a controller and was just wondering if the cheaper AR120 would look the same and would also be compatible with the controller. Thank you :)
I currently own 6 AR120 fans but I intend to buy a H150i RGB ELITE 360mm and that contains 3 AF120 fans, how different would they look if they were all controlled by a core commander xt and they both have 8 rgb lights on each fan? I am afraid they with equal settings they will look like different shades despite being the same color. Is my fear unfounded or would that be the case?
Thank you for reading this and providing answers.
H150i RGB ELITE comes with AF ELITE fans which are NOT RGB. These are not AF RGB ELITE fans. For those, buy a H150i ELITE Capellix XT.
No, the lighting should be identical. All of the 8 LED series fans (AF, ML, SP-Elite, and AR) all have the same LEDs and center hub diffuser material. They are meant to use in combination with each other look relatively seamless in transition. The AR and AF have a slightly different version of the motor along with the RGB connector, but otherwise should look the same. The wild card is your MB RGB software. I can't say I've tested every board for color accuracy, something like a 255/75/0 orange can look different between different branded controllers. However, this is a solvable problem and you simply add/remove color from the secondary value to even them up.

I just got these fans, and since there were no reviews or unboxing videos online, I figured I'd share my thoughts. These 120mm fans are priced at $14 each, and you can even get them cheaper in a pack of three. They come with ARGB lighting, which is great if you have a node core like me, and they have 8 addressable LEDs for some cool lighting effects.
Now, when it comes to performance, I noticed they're super quiet at low speeds, around 40% or less. However, cranking up the speed beyond that might introduce some noise. They do an excellent job of keeping things cool with a good balance of airflow and air pressure. For the price, I'd say they're a solid choice if you're into aesthetics. But, if you have a high-end desktop, you might want to consider other brands for top-tier performance.
In conclusion, they perform admirably. At high speeds, there's a tendency to vibrate and make noise, even though I tried reducing it by placing some rubber between the fan and the case (which isn't included, by the way). The package does come with 4 screws and a Corsair 4-pin to 3-pin motherboard RGB adapter. I hope this info is useful, and feel free to ask if you have any questions.
i just buyed corsair 4000d rgb airflow and corsair h150 rgb 360mm, i know 4000d come with 3 af120 fans and h150 come with 3 sp120 fans, what fans should i use with the radiador?
Im struggling to find a difference other than those on the spec sheet but still dont know why the one is more than the other, can someone offer assistance?
When I first saw this product name, I thought it was a misspelling of the AF120 RGB Elite product.
But then I took a closer look and realized it's a new product.

One of the features that surprised me was that it came with an ARGB conversion cable.
Since Corsair doesn't bundle RGB controllers with their products for custom loops, they did provide this conversion cable. But, I don't think I've ever seen a FAN product come with a conversion cable before, but it's unusual for Corsair to release a product like this.
The single pack includes a 1:1 conversion cable and the triple pack includes a 1:3 splitter cable. It's amazing how well Corsair has thought of the accessories.
But why didn't they include a bundled cable with the QX FAN single pack? 🤣
