The 3 packs come with 1x 600mm Cable with straight-90 connectors, the Single fans come with 1x 135mm Cable with 90-90 Connectors. Assuming you'll install the single on the rear, 3 at top and 3 at front or side, You'll connect the single to the top 3 with the 135mm cable, the top 3 to a port on the link-hub with the 600mm, the other 3 connect to the other port of the hub with the other 600mm. You'll need an available USB header to connect the hub and a PCIe 6+2 power cable. More on reddit.com

The starter kits come with a Link Hub, 1 Link Hub can support 14 fans (7 per side, and it can do more but the lighting brightness diminishes to compensate iirc) and the hub is powered via a PCIE cable. You could buy 1 starter kit and 6x single fans if that’s cheaper overall, just note that the single fans come with a short link cable (to bridge to fans/devices that aren’t magnetically connected) while the starter kit has a short link cable and a long link cable, so it may be worth the extra to get multiples of the longer link cables pending your fan placements (you can also buy longer link cables individually - you’ll probably want at least 2x of the longer cable). Pending overall cost, maybe do 2x starter kits and 3x individuals, you’ll have an extra hub “just in case” but will have 2x of the longer cables More on reddit.com

fuck no, the software is fine, but the fact that corsair uses non-standard argb connectors means you're overpaying for parts that arent compatible with everything else. same with nzxt. I never recommend them More on reddit.com

June 27, 2023 - Rather than having a power connector on the pump head, the power is deftly routed through the outside of the liquid tube sleeves and into the 397mm x 120mm radiator, with its three, preinstalled QX120 RGB 120mm fans. I'd have to get that connected up to the System Hub using one of the many ports on the sides and bottom of the radiator, along with the collection of iCue Link QX RGB PWM fans I'd been sent with the starter kit. Each fan has a port on either side, to be snapped together with other fans, or chained to other components with Corsair's nifty proprietary power cables...

LX120 fans link.
My question is: will these packs include all the necessary connectors, or do I need to buy something extra? I'm particularly wondering about power and RGB connections.

I have 9 fans in my case right now but they are not RGB. One of them is dying and I want to replace them all with RGB fans. My question is about controllers. In the past I know with Corsair you had to buy and hub and controller for all the RGB.
With these new fans that all directly connection together, the starter kit 3 fan set come with a little controller box. Will that box power and control 9 fans? If not, if I buy 3 kits, can you chain the included controllers together?
In summary, if I buy 3 starter kits to get 9 fans, does that include everything I need to make them all work in my case?

Yes, you only require 1 Link hub included with the starter pack to power and control all 9 fans, you might need additional cables depending on how you want to group and connect them. You'll also need an available USB header and a PCIE (6+2) power connector.
