I was unsure on buying into this iCUE link system but after just finishing the build I’m actually pretty surprised and happy with the fans. The time warp effect is awesome especially sink you can make the fans appear to spin the other way, the lighting effects are great, and the cable management was super easy though having to purchase additional icue link cables sort of was a bummer since it delayed me 1 extra week for a weekend build. But overall so far I think I recommend them. Corsair just needs to add Gpu temp sensors into icue for better control so I can assign my bottom case fans to work off Gpu temp, and I pray one day they will allow dynamic control depending on cpu/gpu temp to operating off the higher temperature like fan control does.

You know, you can use the temp sensors on the QX fans as a control source for your fan speeds. Rather than using GPU temp, use the exhaust temp of the fan. That'll be a better indicator of the interior case temperature and what you really need to cool with the airflow (vs radiator) fans. And keeping the internal ambient temperature controlled will help keep the GPU temp under control (as that is what cools the GPU). Plus ... the temp sensors on the QX fans will work in Device Memory Mode, so they'll run even when iCUE isn't running (like on boot, lock, shutdown). GPU temps won't. And if you are still not seeing them, check in your services for any Corsair services that are disabled. Specifically, the Corsair CpuId Service is the one that reads the GPU temps. You may also need the Device Listing Service but I'm not sure about that. If they are disabled, set them to Automatic and start them.

The main selling point for these fans is the cable management. You daisy-chain 2 or 3 fans (not the limit) and have only one cable to connect to the hub which is different from the one the LX or RX would use. So you have to take that into consideration. If you get the starter kit, you'll get 3 of them + the hub in the box. However, if you don't mind dealing with 2 cable per fan (Assuming you're going with RGB) and all the cable management that comes with it. I don't think the price is justified for the QX. I have them since they came with the AIO I got and added a Starter Pack to match the aesthetic, and budget was not an issue for me when I was building my PC.

If you are happy with your current configuration, there is absolutely no need to replace it. However, looking at your configuration, COMMANDER CORE, CORE XT, NODE PRO, etc. would have been used, so organizing the rear cables would have been very difficult. It may have been neatly organized, but if you want to organize it even more neatly, you can replace it with ICUE LINK. Of course, the replaceable part of your configuration cannot replace the controller used for the 3PIN RGB connection. However, many of the cables of the 12 QL FANs will disappear.
