Since nobody really talks about it - why on earth is the smaller Microphone of the non-SE versions soo much better sounding? The difference is INSANE.

I've actually watched almost all of those review videos about the new Virtuoso headset and the smaller mic was always clearer/more natural sounding. Did they accidently swap the microphones / is it a driver issue - I'm confused - I would really like to buy the SE one with the smaller mic :<

I currently own a Corsair Virtuoso RGB Wireless headset (non-SE), and it came with the small detachable Virtuoso microphone. I noticed that Corsair sells the SE version of the microphone (Uni-Directional Microphone). I have searched all over the internet and cannot seem to figure out if the SE microphone is better than the non-SE microphone.

Should I buy the SE Microphone for my headset or stick with the one that came with the non-SE headset? Is it worth the $25?
