I haven’t bought this particular chair, but here’s a small backstory on our experience with Costco’s furniture. When we moved into our house we had bought the infamous Nest chair from Urban Barn. Kept it in our room for a year where it was never sat on, and then moved it to the family room. Within 9 months parts of the fabric were ripping, and Urban Barn did nothing for us. We saw the cuddler chair online on Costco online, and a second smaller round chair to put in our room. We have had both for NINE years now, with not a discoloured spot, no rips in any of the material. We felt confident that with Costco’s return policy if anything went wrong we would have support, but the furniture pieces have been very durable. More on reddit.com

UPDATE I called Costco and explained what happened and didnt ask for anything — not for them to come back, not for a partial refund, I just explained what happened. The representative said the delivery guys were behind on their schedule at the time they were at my stop and probably rushed off, and he apologized and acknowledged they were supposed to assemble and remove the packaging. The rep tried to get them to come back today to complete the job but they were on their last stop. There were times a week and a half out. He said the other option is a $75 credit for the assembly and packaging removal as a refund or gift card. I gratefully accepted the refund, left a nice phone survey review for the representative, and then I put it together myself. It’s an excellent piece, btw. Hopefully this post helps someone in the future so they don’t have to make a post and have people make (now deleted) comments about what an annoying, etc. person I am.
