Costco has Apple Watch Ultra on sale for $729.99 in store + online (shipping is $4.99)
Apple Watch Rip Off at Costco
An Apple Watch Series 4 doesn’t have an always on screen. You somehow didn’t notice that a main feature of the watch introduced back on the Series 5 wasn’t present? You also missed that it didn’t have Blood Oxygen level tracking either…?

Sale starts today and ends 5/22.
I know other retailers have offered the Ultra at or around this price recently but figured this was still worth sharing since some people prefer to buy from Costco.
I updated the system software on my 6 mo. old Series 6 AppleWatch today, and it came up as an AppleWatch Series 4! (I didn't get AppleCare, so I had no reason to search serial number or find out this info til today.) We purchased it at Costco SIX MONTHS AGO - in May 2021, which is outside the window of 90 days. It looked COMPLETELY brand spanking new, and while I threw away the box a month ago, I still have the band box - which says AppleWatch 6 on it. (No serial number on the box) I am shocked that this slipped by them. The original sales receipt does not have a serial number on it, and I never would have reason to question that this was a Series 4.
Costco doesn't even sell the Series 4 online or in the store (unless it's to me!!) I can't figure out what happened. Someone did a switch and returned a Series 4? But it would have had to match serial numbers upon return, right? Or no. I have no idea how this happened, but it looks like I have no recourse. Bummer.

You should take your watch and your receipt to an Apple store to see what they can do to investigate. Costco can’t do anything with a serial number but Apple can do extensive research and maybe help somehow.
I had an iPhone break that was covered by AppleCare and when I went to make a claim they said it the AppleCare had been refunded. They ran the serial number and after about 15 minutes they discovered the refunded AppleCare was in another country and done by mistake since they had my device right in front of them.
Apple can look at the history of your serial number so they may be able to figure out where the problem occurred.
