Bought an Apple Watch SE 3.5y ago (from Costco), it's been good but the battery is on it's last legs.
Look at Costco and I can get a Series 10 42mm for $389. "Your trade in could be up to $200"... I know that isn't mine, but try anyway, and even though my watch meets all of Apple's standards, they say "up to $5" trade in value.
I go over to Apple's web site and while the Series 10 42mm is $399, they offer me $55 trade in.
I'm surprised that Costco even says "yeah we'll take it" at that point, it seems insulting. Had they told me it isn't worth anything I would understand, but offering me "up to $5" just seems strange.
I want to buy a new Apple Watch. Its $20 less at Costco but buying it directly from Apple becomes cheaper when you factor in the trade-in. Does Costco take trade-ins?

Is it better to use Costco's Phobio to "Trade in your Apple Device" for my 13" 2013 MacBook Air?
(1.7 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i7 with 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 and Intel HD Graphics 5000 1536 MB)
Or is it better to
(a) trade-in directly with Apple? OR
(b) sell my laptop separately to some third party (Craiglist or Facebook or eBay, etc.).
In other words which option is more likely to get me most money for it?
(Without the risk that seems to be with Phobio - I saw a horror story of someone whose computer was damaged by Phobio and he got nothing.)
Well, why not just go through the process of trying both and see who will give you more money...?
I would just compare and see what works. I always check Swappa / EBay to see what the recent sale prices were. And then you weigh that vs the convenience of trading it with Apple or Costco directly.
I am looking to buy an Apple Watch Series 9, but the warehouse price is considerably cheaper than online. My only question is what their inventory looks like as I want a specific size and watchband. Anyone know if they typically have all the options listed online?
Apple Store offers $70 btw
Picked up the last AWU2 in black titanium at my local Costco in California
On the Apple website you can trade in your old products for credit towards a new product. Does that still apply if you purchase a laptop through Costco? Is there anyway to get credit for an old laptop when purchasing new laptops via Costco?
I had gone through Apple’s trade in program multiple times; which were pretty straightforward and happy with. Any experience with Costco’s Phobio? How long did it take? Thanks!
