Costco usually has the best deals from my experience. Most are 0$ down, 24 month contract with $10-$14/month added to the bill for the phone depending on whether you want an new or recent model iPhone or Samsung. My husband is looking for a new phone (Samsung) and a good deal for a data plan. We went to Costco 2 weeks ago for more info and the guy at the booth told us to come back in about 2 weeks to get the Black Friday deals.
Anyone knows if they have the deals out yet? We're 1 hour round trip from Costco, I don't want to get there tomorrow for them to say Hey, come back next week.

You can see all of the deals at mobility.costco.ca. The website will link to the carriers for plan pricing and will give you the cost of each device with each carrier plus available gift cards. As it gets closer to Black Friday, don't bother trying to call the kiosk. Their phones will be unplugged as they won't have the time to answer calls and serve all the people coming in for offers.

As someone who worked there, go there the 3 days after Black Friday (Saturday/Sunday/Monday). *Unless you have a specific phone model/color request, then you'd have to build rapport with 1 of the rep to order &/ reserve it for you for your chosen day.

Anyone who has experience with buying phones and phone plans on Black Friday please help: I'm looking to get a Samsung Galaxy S25 or Google Pixel 10 on sale this Black Friday event. Trying to get the best deal possible with the shop cards and phone plans. I could go early this week and get the current sale, but will there be better deals later on next week on actual Black Friday/Cyber Monday? I'm worried if I wait until Nov 28th the phones I want will get sold out and I'll have to buy a phone I dont want. Do phones get sold out at Costco in your experience? Are there better deals specifically on the Black Friday/Cyber Monday days, or is this promo thats currently on for the $200 shop cards the best deal for the entire Black Friday 2 weeks?

They only offer in market plans. If you want some loyalty plans, you’d better deal with the carrier itself. If you cannot get any, then Costco would be your go to with the cash card bonus.

For sanity sake, in advance of Black Friday for anyone who is not financing a phone: You should be able to spend around, or less than, $40 a month for a decent plan with a reasonable data allotment. You can spend even less if some of it is more restrictive (autopay credits, LTE only, lower data, no hotspot). If you need or want Canada/USA/Mex roaming for free, you should be in the $50-70 range, depending on the exact terms. The lowest possible plans with a decent amount of data, Canada wide calling and texting are $30. There are examples of even less costly plans, or deals far better than what I just described, but I'm trying to tell you what kind of prices are EASILY achievable today. If you spend a lot more and these numbers seem crazy low to you, you're out of touch with how things have changed over the last few years. Welcome to the new mobile market, time to save your wallet. If you find a deal you really want - Switching is easy now with eSIM and online self serve - you sign up at the new provider and they assign you a new temporary number. You install the eSIM from the new provider (or you can ask for a physical SIM). Then you transfer your number from your old provider to the new one, which cancels the plan at the old provider. It takes about 10 mins for the number to move over sometimes, as your sim needs to reprovision it. If you've been loyal a long time the concept of moving providers might seem crazy, but it could not be more trivial.

So Costco wireless has the same plans, same parent company as wireless mobility that you see booths all over the place in malls. What makes Costco's wireless mobility superior in my opinion is that the cash back is in Costco bucks and not wireless mobility store credit as all they have are electronics at inflated prices are their store.
