I have a recently purchased cuisinart (not the same model), but I hate the carafe. Spills coffee all over if I pour faster than a dribble. I hope the carafe design on this is better than the one I have. More on reddit.com

I don’t have that specific Cuisinart model but we have a similar one (I think it’s this one https://www.crateandbarrel.com/cuisinart-perfectemp-12-cup-programmable-coffee-maker/s235686 ). We’ve been super happy with it so far and personally feel that its miles ahead of the cheap Mr. Coffee pot we had previously had. Our coffee is never really sitting more than a few minutes so it doesn’t get burned by the hot plate as we pour it immediately, but a solution to that would be to look into a model with a thermal carafe instead of the glass one as those don’t rely on a hot plate to keep the coffee warm. Another easier option is to just transfer the remaining coffee from the glass pot to a travel mug to keep it warm. For the price of that Cuisinart, I personally think it would be worth a try! I know that these types of posts always have a few people comment about the horror of standard drip coffee pots and how it’s terrible coffee, and I agree that other setups will usually produce a higher tier cup of coffee, but our lifestyle is best suited to have a drip pot for every day and to save the French press, pour over etc. for less daily use so I understand the need for a decent drop pot. And I will say I saw another comment and we do also have a Nespresso machine and I could never fully use only that. It does not replace drip coffee whatsoever for us. I use my Nespresso for lattes and fancier drinks but I still always have drip coffee daily. I don’t view it as a solid drip replacement, at least for us! The pods are also much more expensive than buying beans or grounds. Best of luck. More on reddit.com
