Yardistry Gazebo Recommendations
I put mine on slab and then had to pour a couple of little concrete areas for 2 of the feet. I used redhead concrete sleeves and screws to secure to the ground. I also bought a couple of the roll down shades that I installed inside the unit. And bought the Yardistry mosquito cover thing too. All in all, never had an issue with feeling hotter under the gazebo. If anything, we feel cooler under the shade. The roof never made us feel hotter. I just recently installed a fan/light combo in the middle. Fairly easy to install if you know what you’re doing.

Hi all!
Considering a Yardistry gazebo from Costco - looking at 12x20 or 12x24. Looking for generic advice:
-
what surface did you guys put yours on? Slab? Foundation? Etc
-
any size considerations? Other than bigger is better, any particular nuances?
-
Accessories - how did you guys set yours up?
-
Roof - I keep hearing the roof is a heat sink - has anyone tried adding a vent or insulating some other way? Would be nice to be able to bbq under there if it’s raining so a vent may be nice?
Thanks in advance!

I have the 12x24 and I put mine on my paver patio, I was unable to pull the individual pavers up so I drilled through them and anchored the gazebo with 3ft threaded bolts. We get high winds here and no problems since install last year.
-We did need four people to get the roof on.
-I bought one Coolaroo 120in shade from Lowes. The shades at Costco left gaps on the side I didn't like.
-Check your zoning, 12x24 might require a permit in your area.
I’ve been getting quotes all over the place, wanted to see how much it should cost? I don’t know if region matters but I’m in the Midwest.
