My advice is go back to the Costco you bought them from, if you can’t, the one you go to can pull the information from the original store. I would bring the box and all that came with them as well. I have found Costco to be really great with customer service and you do not need a membership to go to the hearing center. I would like to add that when I purchased my last pair, I couldn’t get any good sound and started writing down all of the issues I was having. I brought that in and they ended up sending them back to the factory and in about two weeks, I was given a new set. It made all the difference in the world and the replacement set are great. Unfortunately the hearing aids i got from Costco seem to not be working for me. I certainly have hearing loss but after using them for a couple of months i can still hear better without them in the situations i needed to hear better in.
Im still within the 6 month return window, but how do I actually return them? Are they linked to my Costco membership # so i can just walk up with that and return them? I unfortunately have no idea where the receipt went. Do i need to return them with all the boxes and such? Are they going to give me the run around? And do i need to return them to the same Costco i got them from?

My husband returned his. He went to the hearing aid center inside Costco, the audiologist was rude, said to make an appointment to return them. He had to wait a week to back. Then there was a process to explain why he didn’t like the hearing aids, and they put the money back onto our debit card.

Has anyone encountered resistance at any Costco HA center when they returned HA? When I asked about 6 month return period, what I was told is they do not do any trial, but the customer has the right to return in 6 months. And do Costco HA dispensers get penalized if a customer returns HA?

I returned a set a couple of days ago and it was not quite hassle free but still not difficult. You can't just return them to the return counter, you have to go to the hearing aid section and where they will try to get you to have another adjustment. My audiologist was within earshot and was shaking her head when I turned it down. It takes 20 minutes or so for the paperwork to get ready and then they have to walk you to the return counter and wait inline with you until it's finished. Managers have to OK it so it's not a quick process. Overall it took 45-60 minutes but the return line was long.

Costco tracks the return rates for their dispensers and the dept as a whole. They changed the language in the purchase contract a year or so ago to say it’s a six month return police instead of a trial period

So I have had a hearing test done and have mild to moderate hearing loss. The audiologist over to sell me hearing aids, but they were extremely expensive; I’m looking into coverage from my health plan about where I could go, and some people have said that Costco offers hearing aids pretty affordably. Being that I already have had my hearing test done, I really just need to purchase them.
Has anyone had experience with that? It would not be my first instinct to buy something as important as hearing aids from a warehouse club, but several people have told me that they are just fine. I would appreciate any feedback about Costco and or any other retailers that might offer them at a more manageable price point. Thanks!

Yes. You may get *better* care at Costco than a full price retailer. If you have out-of-network coverage you can buy from Costco and then submit a reimbursement, but in many cases they're cheaper than hearing aids *with* insurance (and not by a small margin). The hearing aid industry is dominated by the "big six" brands. Costco's brands are all sub brands of four of the big six. In some cases they're identical in all but branding, in some cases there are minor differences to know about. You'll also see that hearing aids come in technology levels-- usually 3-4 per brand. they all use different model numbers but the terminology of "Premium" for the best, "Advanced" for the 2nd best "Basic" for the 3rd best (may be the lowest, may be the 2nd lowest) and "Essential" for the bottom end model. Costco only sell the Premium tier. That can matter a whole lot. Even if you get the best and newest *model* of hearing aid, but it's a Basic or Essential technology level, it may be equivalent to buying a premium hearing aid multiple generations old in some ways. The sound quality *is* tied to that technology level and if you need to go down the levels to make an Audiologist hearing aid affordable keep that in mind. Other considerations may include how complex your hearing loss is (it doesn't sound like it's complex at all) and the hearing aid you specifically choose may be influenced heavily by the phone you use and what specific sound qualities you're looking for in a hearing aid. They don't all sound the same and some favor speech comprehension over sounding natural (and vice versa.)
