January 15, 2025 - I have used Apple trade in several times with nothing but satisfactory results. Until now that is. I very recently mailed in my iPad Air 5th generation for a newer 11” iPad Air with the M3 chip. My trade in was just 2 years old and as I take good care of my things, this iPad was no exception.

I ordered them online and picked them up at the store. Easy as can be. A month later my brand new iPad Mini failed with a hardware issue.

Just like the title says, I picked up an iPad Air (M2) 256GB today at the Costco in Langford, BC for $599.97.
That's a pretty great deal since they're on sale at most places for $949 and the cheapest I've seen was $799 for an open box model at Best Buy.
Fyi, this is the 2024 model. Last year was a big update. The 2025 model is basically the same except with an M3 chip (likely not a noticeable upgrade for most people using this device).

Hi everyone,
Is it worth it to buy the new iPad Air 13inch at this price? I think its the lowest price that ive seen so far in retail.
I am starting grad school, mostly will be using for school, research, studying. Should I get the refurbished older iPad Pro 13 inch or the new one?

if anyone comes across this later, costco matched the 2025 amazon prime day sale. the ipad was $90 off of $769.99, making it 679.99 + 79.99 for two years of applecare.

As title says, Costco has the 10 wifi for $349 and the 9 wifi for $319 until 3/17/24. I'm basically just using it for web stuff, email, Facetime, etc. Not thinking of Pencil. More casual. What I really want is longevity. It seems the 10 with have Apple software support longer. It's only $30 more than the 9. Still, I read a lot of posts here and there seems to be mixed opinions on the 10. Any advice? Thanks!
UPDATE: After reading all the posts and doing little more research, I pulled the trigger on the 10. It suits my needs, performance and price-wise.
Thank you to all for you thoughts and suggestions. Made the decision a lot easier.

Just got a 10 and I absolutely love it. If you’re just using it for casual stuff, you don’t need anything more advanced. Sure the other features are cool and all. But at the end of the day, you’re not really utilizing it. Get the 10!
