So for the last year or so I’ve had the Costco Casper mattress. It has completely wrecked my lower back (6’2” 200lbs). From reading online, something firmer with springs is the way to go to help my back out. I did get a cheap Amazon queen (Zinus) spring mattress and it’s making a huge difference. I’m about to move into my first home where I will have a king bed. I’m looking at the Kirkland mattress right now, but open to other’s experiences:

We're replacing a queen that we bought many years ago from Costco. Its not a great mattress but has served its purpose.

I find foam mattresses way too hot and by conforming to the body, make it way too difficult to move. We purchased an Aviya innerspring mattress a few years ago and continue to be happy with it.

If you want a somewhat budget option, the Novaform 14” is pretty good for the price. I’ve got mine at $399, and it’s been good for me.

I’m looking to buy King size mattress at Costco after years and man they’re so many different brands now! Details are in the title. Cooling feature might be good to have! It would be for me & my senior pup (I will add waterproof cover). I don’t have a specific budget because I see so many of them at different price point.

Don't buy a foam bed in a box. They crater way fast. Also, stay away from pillow tops for the same reason.

I’ve got the 14” Novaform comfort grand and the 3” serenity tempur-pedic topper. I’m also a side sleeper w back issues and put a waterproof cover on, 3 dogs…. It’s been nice and I’d do it again. No dips or dents after a few years now.
