I just had a several hour headache and phone tag and thought to share. Seems like a few others across this sub and other forums had the same problem.
For clarification, the Groupon membership offer comes with a $50 shop card, $100 off website coupon, and a travel voucher. Many had issues with fulfillment of the latter two offers. I was originally told by my warehouse to keep waiting and the original offer email said I would receive the voucher after several weeks following activation.
The same promotion on Groupon recently returned which reminded me I didn’t get the offers the first time. When I called, each department was pointing fingers at each other (membership blamed e-commerce, e-commerce blamed membership, both blamed Groupon, Groupon blamed Costco).
However, they (Costco) originally mentioned I could’ve avoided this entire headache if I was given proper information the first time I reached out.
Thankfully someone from e-commerce was eventually able to resolve my problem by manually inputting the voucher discount on my order.
TL;DR - Groupon vouchers have a history of not being properly delivered and can be obtained manually by reaching out to Costco’s online support. Do this ASAP as the vouchers have an expiration.
