I have liked "Messina Leather Power Reclining Sofa with Power Headrests" https://www.costco.com/messina-leather-power-reclining-sofa-with-power-headrests.product.100653426.html at costco online, have few questions before i purchase.
Your quick response would be extremely helpful as this is my first furniture purchase from costco.
Has anyone bought this ?, Any issues faced so far?
Is Top grain leather a real leather ?
Does costco deliver such furniture assembled or dissembled. If they deliver it in parts then will it be able to enter through my front door having width = 35 inches and height = 78 inches where sofa's width = 39.7 inches.
Costco semi-annual sale starts at 15th July so should i wait till then for more discounts?
By any chance, if any one knows if this piece is available in any warehouse in northern virginia?

I can add this about leather. Top grain is a good, quality leather product. It will be fine for most people's upholstery. Full grain is the best, most complete leather product, but it's thick, difficult to work with, and expensive. I would not expect a full-grain leather sofa to cost less than $5,000, maybe less if they cheap out on the parts you don't touch. For furniture, I'd stay away from anything called split-grain, "genuine leather", and especially bonded leather, which is exactly what is sounds like: ground up leather bonded by some sort of glue. It will peel and flake within months.

Just started shopping around and want firm seating sofas. I checked yesterday at a local store and they say the "high density foam" is usually firm. I don't see any description mentioning the firmness of the cushion on Costco app. There's no leather reclining sofa on display in 3-4 of Costcos around me either. Can anyone suggest good leather reclining sofa from Costco? (Or any good alternative)?

Foam density is only one component of determining the firmness of a seat cushion. To know the firmness of a cushion you need to know its ILD rating. Given that, I don't think I've ever seen an recliner cushion with an ILD rating. Probably because a recliner seat cushion is integrated/non-removeable. As a general rule, if you are looking for leather furniture from Costco, I recommend the Prospera Home brand. Prospera Home is really Hydeline leather furniture (branded as "Prospera Home" for Costco). Hydeline has numerous options for leather reclining sofas. Because of the construction of the seat cushion (foam over pocketed coils) you are going to get a relatively firm seat cushion. If you read the reviews on Hydeline's website, the firmness of the seat cushion is often mentioned. You can buy direct from Hydeline (use the code "HYUSA10" to get 10% off most non-sale items). Also check Hydeline's Ebay store. [The one reclining sofa from Prospera Home that Costco carries gets poor reviews, that seems to relate to its modern design. Hydeline offers more traditional styles on its website].

Have you ever owned a power recliner? We didn't buy one. Imagine having to wait ✋ for it to go slowly 🐌 up and 🐌 slowly 🐌 down, every single time you sit in it. We thought that it would be annoying. I hope you find the perfect furniture for your home.

If you've had power adjusting seats in a vehicle, it's the same kind of thing. And the same pace. It's very slow and annoying. When you have a kid who just fell, or a dog getting food off the counter, or any other number of things that require you to pop up quickly out of your seat, you will regret having the power anything in your recliner. I will not buy another power recliner ever. Also, once they break, they really break. I was almost grateful mine stopped working. The slow motor driven lift to make me scream. Costco will have a lot of people voting with their dollars on this. There are no manual options available, and they are not getting my money again. At least not for recliners.. just for everything else 😂

We bought two BarcaLoungers a while back. Both had parts that broke within the first week. Returned them and bought two La-z-boy recliners. A little more expensive but they have held up really well. I would personally spring for the little extra cost for a better recliner.
