I have an $800 budget. The Costco Roland FPR is $729. It comes with furniture stand and the three pedals attached and bench which is nice. I’m also looking at a used Yamaha p143. It is $300 and comes with a gig stand. I currently have a Casio CDR that but the dust. I don’t like my little pedal on a wire that moves around all the time so that is what’s gravitating me more towards the Roland. Ive also heard the keys are better. I don’t mind spending the whole budget on the Roland if it’s a significant improvement over the Yamaha, but if it’s not that huge of a difference then I think the Yamaha would be ok too and I’d save some money. But I’d love some advice or opinions on which you would choose.
This costco exclusive piano has barely any information out there, and some misinformation, which frustrated me when I was looking to purchase it, so ask me any questions and I’ll answer!
One thing I’ll say here, though, is that the piano DOES have the piano designer feature directly in the Roland app.
I just got Costco’s new Roland RFP-Nuvola bundle. It does seem like a variation of the FP-30X, with subtle cosmetic variations and small internal differences e.g. a slightly different song/sound list and upgraded Bluetooth (v5.0). I recommend comparing the user manuals on Roland’s website to see the details.
I think the stand and pedal bar look great! Note that the bundle’s bench does not have storage.
Wish me luck — starting lessons this week!
Hi all,
Can someone tell me more about the Roland pianos on sale at Costco currently? There are three I am looking at:

They all appear to be bundles and include the same things, but please correct me if I'm wrong. Since they are Costco specific models, it's been hard to find good information on these. Also, I'd like to know the technical differences between these as well as how they sound and play. Many thanks!
Folks, is the nuvola that costco sell better than FP30X? Is it of lower quality by any chance? Why costco sells it as a separate package than roland?
I'm looking for advice on how the Nuvola really compares to the FP-30X ?
I'm purchasing a digital piano as a complete newbie wanting to learn classical piano.
In the future I am interested in also using the digital piano via midi with computer software.
I looked at the NUVOLA in Costco yesterday, nice that it includes everything including stand with pedals.
Does it really support all that the FP-30X does in terms of MIDI control etc?
I found the stand to be a little unsteady.
In comparison I was looking at this FP-30X combo for $759
FP-30X along with the Liquid Stands Portable Heavy Duty Digital Piano Stand & Bench Set - Adjustable Keyboard Music Stand & Seat for 54-88 Key Electric Pianos
We have tried both keyboards, so now it's down to functionality etc.
Thanks for any advice
costco is offering these ... any one have opinions on the yamaha vs the roland? i was able to try the roland in store and liked the keyboard feel and grand piano sound. online, the yamaha is $100 more. worth it, and why?

I was able to snag the floor model for $350 total. It didn't come with any papers, boxes, or the sustain pedal.

Can anyone recommend an inexpensive pedal for a brand new adult beginner? Is one absolutely necessary to learn the piano?
-
Did anyone else purchase this exact Costco bundle? Please PM me -- I have some specific questions to ask if you don't mind -- mostly on how to activate the software trials. I believe there's a 1-year trial and some 90-day trial? Since I don't have the box or papers, I'm lost as to how I can activate those software trials and I'm thinking they can be very useful for a brand new beginning to learn.

Can anyone share any resources (free software, websites, books, etc.) for a brand new adult beginner very eager to learn?
Do you know the difference between the FRP-2-ACR and the FP-10?
I ordered an FP-10 on Amazon, but was sent the FRP-2-ACR bundle.
Not sure yet if I want to keep or return.
I paid $550 plus tax
OP - what do you think of the Roland-FRP-2 after using it for a month? Our Costco has it on clearance for $400 boxed so I'm curious on your opinion!
My partner played a grand piano all his life but stopped in adulthood because life (ie moved out of the parents house).
We now have a baby and he wants to get back into it to get her to love music (and eventually teach her), but living in an apartment we obviously can't get the heavy acoustic piano he would probably want. I want to surprise him for his birthday and saw Costco has some great options. My budget is no more than 1500 CAD.
I've been reading about these on reddit and other places but I'm in over my head. Please help! Im willing to buy used for a better quality one, but figured with Costco we can return if he'd have any issues with it (though I'm sure he'd like anything he can play!). Roland FRP Nuvola for $900, Yamaha P125A for $1200, Casio AP-265 for $1400.
Thank you. :)
