Samsung U7900F -$800
Samsung Q6F -$1000
Samsung U8000F -$900 Are any of these options good for my parents to watch TV day to day! Really want something that is reliable and good quality
Hey all,
My wife finally agreed to upgrade our TV. We currently have a 65 inch Vizio. Originally I got the P65-C1, which failed on me and Square Trade replaced with a P series TV in 2020. I’ve had numerous issues with Vizio and I’m ready to move on. I plan on getting the TV at Costco cause I have a large gift card. My budget is 2K.
I am leaning towards a C3 because we mainly watch movies and TV shows at night and I do light gaming. Our living room can get decent light during the day, but we hardly watch TV during the day. It’s not until late afternoon early evening. I do watch a fair amount of sports, but mostly streaming services on an Apple TV 4K . I have an antenna plugged into a Tablo, which I stream to. I do worry about the brightness levels, but watching TV during the day is not as common for us. I was also leaning towards an X93L, but they seem to be out of stock now. I also am considering an S90C, but I am weary of Samsung appliances and TVs (bad experience with a fridge and dishwasher in the past). Any recommendations or different model I should look at?
Thanks
Hey everyone, I've been reading the sub a ton lately so really appreciate everyone's reviews and experiences. We're putting a TV in this new space (red tape outline was for me to see how big a 75" TV would look against this wall). There is a window to the right where we'll get some light coming into the space between like 3-5 PM daily, so at least some direct sun is a consideration. You can kind of see how the light casts in from the second picture.

UPDATE: I took pictures about every 30 minutes from 4-6:30 so you can see how much of the potential TV area gets some sun. I also added a larger square to show the size of the 98-inch TCL, just for comparison! I'm leaning pretty strongly toward something in the 85-inch range after everyone's feedback and seeing that larger shape against the wall: https://imgur.com/a/s9zTObB
I had been relatively set on the X90CL, but now seeing it's OOS on Costco although I know it might come back. In the meantime, I've been evaluating a few other TVs in this range.
Sony Bravia 5 - 1499
Sony X90CL - 1199 (Currently OOS)
LG OLED77C4 - 1799
Samsung QN77S90DDFXZA - 1799
LG OLED77B4 - 1599
Samsung QN77S84FDEXZA - 1599
My use case: Streaming and sports. No gaming. No physical media players.
I would love any advice and whether it's worth making the OLED jump or if the X90CL would cover me if it comes back in stock soon.
Thank you!
I’m in the market for a larger tv for my family room which honestly will not get used much. I have to furnish and paint the room so I won’t have a lot of money to spend. I’ve been reading how great the Oled tvs are but they all seem way out of my price range. Is this still considered a good picture tv?
