I'm going to be joining Costco soon and wanted to know if anyone has used it for Universal trips?
I've heard people can get great deals through it for other types of vacations, but never heard anything about Universal or Disney, even though they do offer packages for both. I also noticed at this time, they only offer trips up until the end of April. Can't book anything further out than that.
It doesn't look like it gets you any extra perks that I can see that you wouldn't get if staying at a Universal property.
If you have, was it cheaper? Did you get anything extra? Or anything else you'd like to add?
Edit: I likely wouldn't book any of the upper tier hotels due to being out of my price range. Would likely try to stay at one of the value hotels like Endless Summer or Terra Luna.
I am looking at booking a package through Costco but I’m unclear on what the tickets include- everywhere else I’ve looked at tickets, it appears that the park-to-park tickets include 2-3 parks plus one separate day at Epic. But this language on Costco’s site leads me to believe that we can come and go at Epic freely? Am I misinterpreting this?
I am looking at a Costco travel deal. It comes out cheaper than staying offsite and booking through universal.
I haven’t seen any actual bad reviews. It’s mostly just TAs saying don’t do it. But the TA I talked to basically just plugged in the deal I already found myself… soooo idk.
Just looking for any reassurance or negative experiences using Costco travel.
My husband and I found the Costco 2-park 2-day park-to-park plus one day at Epic Universe deal. We want to determine if it’s worth it. Ideally traveling during the week(M-F) sometime in early August or September.
We’ve never been to universal independently and are from out of state(MN), and in need of serious guidance from frequent visitors.
Questions:
Is it worth staying on-site? I know we get free transportation, but is that better than the potential savings of staying at an AirBnB nearby?
If we stay onsite, is it worth paying extra to upgrade to Portofino Bay for the Unlimited Express?
Is there anything to consider as first-timers to Universal? We’ve both only been on family trips, and his was with Make-a-Wish, so they had an abnormal experience.
Any hacks you know or things that are non-negotiables for your trips to the parks? Good food recommendations are always encouraged as that’s my favorite part of these unique parks.
Best way to save when traveling to Universal?
Edit: Est. Cost is about 3k for the two of us.
Thank you so much for your time!
I have a trip for 4 booked through Costco for December 29 - January 3rd at Sapphire Falls. I've seen a few comments about hotels overbooking and not honoring 3rd party reservations, has this happened to anyone?
Our trip is during winter break, we got the sapphire suite for our week long stay. I'm wondering if we're at risk, we saved about 2k booking through Costco vs direct. We did our flights separate, so changing reservations wouldn't be too big a deal if we can get the larger room directly.
I am to take my family to Universal in Thankgiving week. I am not sure if this is good price. Does this mean I have 5 day at the park? 4 day to regular park plus 1 day epic? I am usually buy ticket from universal website and book hotel outside the park. Please help.
Planning this graduation trip for the family. Last time I did it through Costco and it was painless. Costco deals don’t seem to be the best right now - so contacted a couple travel folks out in Florida that ‘specialize’ in Disney and/or Universal packages.
Nothing crazy came of it. The Universal hotel was more than the rack rate on the Universal site (37xx compared to 33xx myself) - tickets I can save almost a grand between 4-1day Disney tickets and the 2 park/3day park to park + Epic tickets by sourcing them from one of my discount ticket perks from work.
MAYBE if the agent deal was a couple hundred difference total, I’d still do it just for simplicity. But for approaching 2 grand…Yowsers. Now if I book through Costco for a non-Universal hotel, the deals are nice but then I loose out on the park access stuff.
Too bad I can’t throw in the HHN RIP package right now…gotta wait. Time to dust off my travel cheapskate skills and start tapping all my discount networks. Ain’t nuthin’ simple.

Looking for the best deal or packages available online. I’m booking for 3 adults and found Costco offers a package including flights, transportation, tickets, and resort stay at aventura for what appears to be the best price.
It comes in cheaper than booking directly on UO’s website, and some costco gift cards.
From your experience are there any offers I might have missed?
I book through Costco, but not always with the flight included. This current trip I just booked I found a better flight deal, and then used Costco for the hotel and park package
Never looked at Costco personally but Universal do have vacation packages on their website. As a Canadian resident they offer Canadian packages which helps a lot
I have run into all sorts of things when booking through Costco that I do not run into when going to Disney.
I can't add my hotel reservations to the Universal app.
My park tickets aren't coming until 7 days before my trip, with Disney it's instantaneous.
With Disney the Mears Connect shuttle is super easy to book. With the Universal Superstar Shuttle I'm going to have to call customer service sometime this weekend.
I've had issues with non-third party booking things too.
The Universal app doesn't seem to have an easy to find search function other than in the map.
Booking dining reservations in the app you have to go to a very specific place instead of being able to book it by clicking on dining reservations (that would make way too much sense), or by clicking on a restaurant on the map and then having the option to make a reservation at that restaurant while you have it pulled up.
The chat feature in the app has you speak to an AI, never a representative.
Why is it this way? Why does Disney seem to be so far ahead on these things?
If I book a Universal vacation package thru Costco travel, can I call Universal to add Superstar shuttle to the package?
Looking to book a package through Costco and I'm confused if transportation to/from airport is included? The website says complimentary transportation to Universal Orlando Theme Parks and CityWalk, but going through the booking options it says no transportation included but I can book a car rental???
Does anyone have a Costco membership that would be willing to look at and share their packages and prices for universal Orlando 2026?
Has anyone had any experience using the Universal Studios Hollywood season pass?
I’m planning on taking the family for my son’s birthday next year and I’m wondering if this is worth buying for four people instead of individual tickets.
It says there are blackout dates and that it is good for 11 months starting the first day used.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Hi,
I purchased Costco season passes, registered them, but could not load them to the app. It's either an app issue or a me issue. So...I intend to print the Costco tickets - would that work, are there physical universal tickets to pick up instead?
We also have been cleared for an AAP pass, so I'm not sure where to pick that up. Is that after we scan into the turnstiles or should we go to guest relations first?
We are staying at the Hilton (I don't know if they have any services on site like Orlando).
Can you help clear up the ticket process - what tickets do use, and where/when to pick up the AAP pass.
Thanks!
