I'm going to be joining Costco soon and wanted to know if anyone has used it for Universal trips?
I've heard people can get great deals through it for other types of vacations, but never heard anything about Universal or Disney, even though they do offer packages for both. I also noticed at this time, they only offer trips up until the end of April. Can't book anything further out than that.
It doesn't look like it gets you any extra perks that I can see that you wouldn't get if staying at a Universal property.
If you have, was it cheaper? Did you get anything extra? Or anything else you'd like to add?
Edit: I likely wouldn't book any of the upper tier hotels due to being out of my price range. Would likely try to stay at one of the value hotels like Endless Summer or Terra Luna.

Highly recommend, we’re taking our second trip booked through Costco to Universal in a couple weeks, great rates both times for a family of 6. We stayed at Cabana Bay and it was super convenient to the main parks and volcano bay.

We did for our last trip. Stayed at Portofino, and it was cheaper than booking directly through Universal, even when accounting for the $500 food gift card Universal was offering for booking through them at the time. Apparently Costco does not pass along much guest info to the hotels, so be prepared to provide it to the front desk when you check in. That was really my only knock against the process, and it's such a minor complaint. And the Costco shop card I got after my trip was a nice bonus!
