I don't have one; I researched them pretty extensively a few months ago and found that some people love them, but you better be prepared to get a good one, and then to leave it set up in place. And then to have a good workout any time you want flour. I decided it wasn't for me (though apparently you can buy kits to convert them to be attached to a stationary bike so you can power it by pedalling; intriguing, but still not for me ;) ) More on reddit.com

I've had all but 2 mills on sale in the US. Of all them, the only two I'd recommend are the Country Living Grain Mill if running without electricity is important to you or the Komo Fidibus mill if your preps include keeping a minimal amount of electricity flowing. They're the only two mills that would work with everything we wanted them to and produced a high enough quality of flour to make nice bread. We've got the peanut butter attachment and have made it once, but honestly for now it's just easier to get it at the store. Swapping the parts back and forth is annoying enough to be a deterrent. Looking around at several different websites for recommendations for the amount of wheat, corn, etc for a year supply. But none of the give recommendations on how to process the grains you have purchased into a useable product. So what grain mill have you used or recommend getting? I would prefer something without electricity. And how efficient was that mill? Also I don’t want anything with plastic as it does not have the lifespan as a steel or aluminum one.

You can get by just fine with a "corona" mill (pretty cheap). An adjustable two or three roller mill is better so you can fine tune based on the grain. I learned most of this from crushing grain for homebrewing, so I'm not exactly an expert on milling for bread.
