I completed a Meta certificate on Coursera a couple months ago and they had the same thing, a job board available for students who completed the cert. I found that their job board had many jobs that weren’t available on other job websites that I searched through so I’m sure that the Google job board will be similar. Coursera Cybersecurity Courses

I took the IBM and Google ones. The IBM course is really really boring and old. Very outdated slides, and yeah the basic concepts stay the same, but the course is very high level and just plain boring. As for the google course, I made it about 70% through. Not that it was bad or anything, it just didn't feel like a good use of my time. I decided to focus on my degree and the myriad of CompTIA courses that come with it (WGU). As a frame of reference, I have been in infosec for just over a year, SOC for 6 months and now currently occupying an infosec analyst role for a mid size company. Neither of those courses explicitly help me day to day, but the general IT knowledge they have can be useful. More on reddit.com

Thinking of taking the coursera google cyber security course. Any thoughts? I have an it background

If you have an IT background, you can probably knock it out in a couple weeks. It's a very basic overview of the field and if you've worked in corporate IT for some time, you probably know most of the concepts anyway. If it still comes with a discount voucher for Security+, it might be worth it for that. But otherwise, probably just skip it and go straight to Security+. More on reddit.com
