Sorry total noob.
Computer
Hey guys, I built my PC last November and it's ran well since then but within the past few days I've noticed something that I think is a bit odd.
I bought The Witcher 3 to play when my friends aren't on or when I just want to play a good single player game. While playing, I noticed that my PC fans were speeding up and slowing down what I considered to be pretty randomly. I figured it was since I had a lot of the graphics turned up pretty high so I turned some of them down but the fans still seemed to be fluctuating in rpm's. I then noticed they were doing similar fluctuations while I was playing CS:GO, where I have all but one or two settings turned down as low as possible.
I have an NZXT kraken AIO so I checked the connections plugging in the pump to make sure they weren't loose or anything. I guess that really only leaves my GPU fans and case fans but I'm not sure what I need to do next if there is anything wrong in the first place.
My build is as follows:
Case: NZT S340 elite
CPU: Ryzen 5 1600
GPU: Asus Dual Series 1070
CPU Cooler: NZXT Kraken X62
Case Fans: stock NZXT for exhaust and stock kraken fans for intake
Edit: I usually play with headphones on so this may have started earlier but when i was playing The Witcher using my speakers is when I first noticed the fans doing this. I also had my headphones off when I was playing CS:GO and noticed it.

Hello all! I currently own an Air 903 Max case, which contains the first PC I've ever built, with the help of a friend. I'm facing the issue stated in the title though, the 3 frontal case fans run on full speed for some time, then the speed dips and goes back up on full RPM, as seen in the video posted below:
There's some other weird remarks as well. Firstly, on some games, the same pattern occurs whenever I change a setting, the texture quality for example. I mess with the setting? The fans become silent all of a sudden, then in a few seconds they sound like a Boeing that is ready to take off. Secondly, it's like they don't respond to the curves I've set in the FanControl app or in the BIOS. Don't know why's that, it feels like I've tried everything. At the beginning, I had all the fans connected to the fan hub and used the CPU_Fan port, which lead to the case fans not being detected by FanControl at all and only allowed me to mess with the RPM of my watercooling and my GPU fans. I tried moving the watercooling fans to the CPU_Opt port, leaving the rest as it is, but that didn't do the trick. Disconnecting the frontal fans from the built in hub and then connecting them to the Sys_fan ports (which is my current configuration), made them detectable by FanControl, but the changes done there did not help at all. Regarding Smart Fan Control in the BIOS(I have a Gigabyte B850 MB, if that helps anyone), I tried changing fan speed to Manual, while setting a similar curve to the one I have on FanControl and modifying fan mode to use the PWM option. All of these happened while having the CPU temp as a point of reference, but using the system temperature for the Sys_fan ports did not help, obviously. The thing that is bugging me is the fact that the PC is completely silent when I'm doing lighter tasks or playing games that are not that resource-heavy, the speed might ramp up once or twice, but that's it. It's not like my CPU's reaching hot temps while playing according to MSI Afterburner, it fluctuates between 50 and 70 degrees Celcius, something that does not justify the frontal case fans making that much noise. Here's my FanControl curve, for anyone that needs to see it:
It's also worth mentioning that taking control of the fans and slowing them down to 0% did not do what it was expected to do, with the fans continuing spinning, just like nothing happened.
All in all, that's it. If anyone needs some more info regarding the issue, I'll be glad to provide it, but I really need some help here, due to me being new to PC building and still learning the ropes. Thanks in advance nonetheless!
UPDATE:Turns out it was an AMD driver issue. Can't tell if it was from the CPU or the GPU side of things, but running the AMD Cleanup Utility and then reinstalling the drivers somehow did the trick. The funny thing on the whole story is that this wasn't even my initial purpose for reinstalling the drivers,I just wanted to get rid of an error I noticed in Event Viewer.2 birds with 1 stone I guess. Thanks to anyone who took time to try and help me!
I play different stuff, Marvel Rivals and Guild Wars 2 usually and my PC fans start working super hard only when i play Guild Wars 2, is it ok?
I also play for long periods of time and i would like to know if it's fine if they keep going like that, the noise kinda concerns me, like... it's not a rattling or any weird sound, it's just loud.
Hello!
So I upgraded some parts to my computer a few months ago and it's been great so far. However ever since my upgrade my fans will start for liftoff when I play games. Otherwise, it's as silent as a mouse.
I have a Liquid cooling CPU and an ASUS motherboard. I've gotten the CPU FAN ERROR and have turned it from Monitor to Ignore. I've used iCUE to put all the fans on quiet, and they idle around 600 rpm, and the pump fan idles around 2250ish rpm. Funnily enough, when my fans start to speed up and run loud iCUE says that none of the fans even go up in speed more than maybe 20 rpm.
Any help?

Can anyone help me out and tell me the correct speed my fans should be on my PC. It's a gaming PC with a rtx 3080 and it usually sits between 70 to 80 degrees whilst gaming. My fan speed is at 80% only when it reaches 80 degrees (default setting). Is this correct or should it be higher / lower?
For the past couple of months I had this issue with my 3 year old PC where the fans randomly speed up, mostly during boot and then randomly while its idle or while Im playing. Now, Im not really sure if its just the case fans, CPU fan or both. But is it something to be concerned about?

Hello, I hope I'm not doing anything wrong here since I don't use reddit that often.
Issue: The PCs fan randomly increases the speed to 100% out of nowhere in a moment's notice during gaming-related activities. The quality of the game doesn't seem to matter. So far it occurred in:
-Clair Obscur in a dark cave, even in the menu.
-Wuthering Waves, randomly during combat, particularly during Changli's Ultimate
-Abiotic Factor upon entering the snowman room
-Some other games I sadly can't remember
I wanna clarify, this is a RECENT issue. The PC is prebuilt and about 5-6 years old by now and didn't have any problems up until about 2-3 weeks ago where the first instance happened in Abiotic Factor. Seemingly at random, the fan's speeds go from 1300RPM to 4000+RPM for 2-3 seconds, before dropping down to 1300RPM. This occurs during very specific triggers and although the interval seems to happen at random, it's certainly happens during trackable moments.
The PC is currently freshly dusted, the average temperature lingers between 77-84° C during gaming on High to Epic settings and all fans run smoothly and without any issues outside of those random moments. 99% of the time it's the GPU fan exclusively, sometimes it's "louder" and I presume it's the case fans too, but I couldn't identify that yet as it happens very rarily.
I'm running Win11, 32GB RAM, Intel I9-11900F, an Nvidia Geforce RTX 3070TI, on an Z590 Plus and all drivers are updated.
If anyone could help me fix this, I'd be seriously grateful! I have no clue what's causing this.
I started downloading Detroit: Become Human and my fans got pretty loud, is this normal?
I have a ryzen 2700x and a AMD Wraith Prism LED RGB Cooler Fan. HWMonitor says the temp goes from 93 degrees F to 105 degrees F and the CPU fan rpm 1869 to 2048. Is the fan failing?
My temps have never gotten very high, but I bought a GTX 1660 recently and now my cpu fan runs at 75-100% all the time even though I don't feel any heat coming out of my case. I swapped my i5 for an i7 last year and did not apply new thermal paste. Could this be caused by a lack of thermal paste to allow for proper cooling? FYI I have tried checking my fan speeds via different tools to diagnose it but I can't get a signal from my motherboard it's an asrock fatal1ty.

Hi!
Now I'm getting a little annoyed.
I installed fresh Win11 on a new nvme m2 SSD (2tb) today. I loaded and launched CS2 a few hours later and tried it out, and the GPU fans started spinning at full speed. It didn't do that before. Then they calmed down when I left the game, and started up pretty quickly when I went back into the game. The temperature (GPU’s) was about 73 degrees at that moment and the usage was about 80-95%, so it's pretty normal for me.
What's the problem and where would I start to fix it? Just before the fans calm down, it feels like the whole machine freezes for a second (not happening anymore)
I already deleted and downloaded the latest drivers for GPU and MSI Center and Afterburner, but I'm not really sure what to do with them. I tried to Mess with Ab’s fan speed/degree chart, but it didn’t do anything. I did disconnect the GPU (there was ”display” before, thanks Google translate :D) when I changed the m.2, but I don't think it was badly connected.
Specs here: i7-10700kF processor MSI RTX 2080 Gaming X Trio graphics card 32 GB DDR4 RAM 600W power (just enough) And that's it.. thanks everyone!
EDIT!! Also appears in other Steam games (I haven't tried Epic), also really light ones..
As the title says I’m finding it hard to enjoy games like rdr2 because of the loud fans and just want to know is there any sort of work around
As the title suggests, my cpu fan randomly will speed up to what sounds like 100% for a few seconds while my PC is idle. I am using a Ryzen 3700x with the stock fan and a Gigabyte B450 Aorus Pro Wifi (not sure if the MOBO would have anything to do with it)? Does anyone have any suggestions to try and fix this? I'm not sure if there are voltage spikes or anything that may be causing the fan to think it needs to speed up perhaps? Thanks in advance!
