r/PersonalFinanceCanada on Reddit: Anyone else stuck in CRA's "In Process" stage of 2021 Tax Return ?
March 18, 2022 -

UPDATE!::!

After 9 long Weeks, 3 calls to the CRA review line, 5 Calls to the general inquiry line, my Express NOA was finally updated today and full NOA will be posted May 3rd!

Apparently because my review was over a certain amount, they had to review everything extensively and validate.

What a pain - but glad its done and glad the money will be coming in time for me to pay off some debt!

Hi

I filed my 2021 Tax Return via Wealthsimple's Net File option (as I have for the last 3 years without issue), on Feb 26th, and 4 weeks later my review is still "in process".

Is anyone else stuck here? I do have a refund coming and somewhat annoyed that it's taking this long for an automated process.

I've never waited more than 2 weeks in the past, and now that I am at 4 weeks im wondering what could possible be going on that is delaying my refund (that I need) in getting to me.

r/PersonalFinanceCanada on Reddit: CRA tax return status
March 13, 2025 -

Hi everyone, last Wednesday I filed my taxes and it is still saying “Refund In Progress” with no update. This is the first time I’ve used turbo tax and the first time I’ve done my taxes myself so I’m not sure what the steps are or if it just says that until you get your refund. I never got an email saying when to expect it like I’ve read other get, nor can I go check on my CRA page because my ID recently expired and they won’t accept it to verify my identity while signing up for the BC services card app. So I’m just curious how long does it usually take for it to process and go into the bank account? I have direct deposit set up. I’m debating whether to call in and see where it’s at or if I should just wait it out.

EDIT March 13: Got my refund at midnight 😊

TIA 😊

r/PersonalFinanceCanada on Reddit: CRA IN PROCESS
March 6, 2021 -

Hey PFC, every year I’ve filed my taxes it has been reviewed and assessed almost immediately. This year it sat as received for the first day and in process since. Now for the past four days my home page of mycra is showing “information about your returns are not available at this time” but when I click and go in, it shows all my previous as well as this years return. And this year still showing in process. Been nearly two weeks now, and I see a lot of people are having this “in process” crap this year. Everything on my taxes is the same, except for my marital status is now common law. Would that perhaps be what’s taking so long?

I had no CERB or any government claims as I was fortunate enough to continue working this entire pandemic so everything else was normal!

Anyone who’s had this issue, have you had it cleared yet? How long did it take? Thanks everyone!

Edit: They have not requested any information of me so far on mycra account.
