June 5, 2023Anyone here have the Crate & Barrel Oceanside sofa? If so, how do you like it? It seems this model is not on display in stores, but I’m very interested… And if anyone has other suggestions for a sofa with big square arms, I’m open to hearing them.
I have a C&B sectional, love it. My son also has one that has moved from NY to CA and back and is now in CT. His has held up surprisingly well with 3 small kids. More on reddit.com

I would guess that it’s an American Leather mechanism that’s in their sofa, and Crate & Barrel designed the general look of it. Room & Board’s Berin is made by American Leather also. The mattress is basically memory foam so should hold up well over time. The reviews are quite favorable. They also have one called Ellingson made by American Leather and has the same style mattress. Don’t get the Metro sleeper sofa from them. As a sofa, it’s hard as a rock. The mattress is good though. More on reddit.com

I realize this may be a rather "niche" question so bear with me.
We need to buy a new living room sofa and it must be a sleeper for out of town guests. I realize this is not ideal, as they aren't typically great beds or great sofas. But I finally found one I like, the Willow slipcovered sleeper from Crate & Barrel. We sat on it the store and it was SHOCKINGLY comfortable which as you probably know is pretty unusual (they are typically either hard as a rock or you feel like you're sinking to the floor).
Unfortunately it was positioned in such a way that we couldn't pull it out to test the 5 1/2" mattress. I had originally wanted to purchase the air mattress version but it just went out of stock indefinitely, per CS (they hope to reorder in the future). Has anyone purchased and/or slept on a C&B sleeper sofa with the regular mattress? I'd love to hear your experience.

Any bed sofas the mattress is always on the soft side and tends to retain heat.Its fine for the overnight visitors but not great if your planning to use it as a main bed.
