Hi, I have a Google account and two Gmail address which I use for various Google services. I'd like to create a third Gmail email. The advice I'm finding online seems unclear.
The instruction is: Log in to Gmail, Click on profile, Add Another Account., then select Create Account, and then choose either For Myself or To Manage My Business. I then have to fill in all my details. If I do this am I breaking Google ToS? Is there a way to create just an email without an entirely new account?
I don't think you have any issues there. You'll only run in to trouble if you create a Google Profile with that account. Gmail ≠ Google Profile. (That said, have you considered Google Apps?)
I have several Gmail accounts. One I use to keep my gaming separate from my regular e-mail. Others a placeholders for my kids. Only my main account has a Google Profile.
Rather than using multiple accounts, use this feature of gmail and filters to direct and tag your work messages accordingly.
If your main account is [email protected], give your friends [email protected] and your business associates [email protected], and make a filter to put the tag business on the latter.
I volunteer for a small organisation (only four volunteers), and we have a shared mailbox. Everyone else just adds this email address to their mailbox using POP, but I'd prefer to keep everything separate.
So I was trying to create a separate Google profile/account using this email address, but I don't seem to have the option.
Is it still possible to create a Google account without it being a Gmail address?
Tried checking a couple of youtube vids on this but all the prompts are different.
I've been research this for a long time, and finally found solution. Might be useful for some of you.
Go to your Google App in phone (download one if needed)
Simply register using that app (for some reason in mobile, the phone number is optional)
Works on iOS and Android.
Update: From mobile it works only a few times (I needed 3 mails), and then it again requires a number. Tried also the incognito mode in browser (phone and pc) and didn't work.
