You wouldn’t lose them exactly… Apps are linked to the account that purchased them, meaning you’d need to sign into the account when updating. So long as you choose, keep data when signing out of the shared Apple account (and no data is ‘offloaded’), data will remain on the device and sync to the new Apple account after sign in. Hey guys what's up So I'm trying to set up my new iPhone and I'm having trouble with creating an apple account. It's my first apple device so I definately hacnt set up an existing account When I try to do it on the new phone during set up I get to the first step and then get an invalid date of birth error but if I leave it blank it sends me back to the forgot password/create account page I have also tried creating an account on my windows laptop and my current Samsung phone, I put in all my details, verify my email and phone number and then it says; your account cannot be created at the moment. I tried verifying with a phone call and a text and neither worked
Does anybody know why this is happening or how I could create an account. Any advice is very appreciated

Hi all,
I am currently on an Android phone and am planning to buy an iPhone in the near future. In preparation, I have started to make a new iCloud account, but it seems certain things like mail can only be fully set up on an Apple device, and I do not currently own one.
Is there any way around this or can I not fully complete the setup until I get an Apple device?
