I struggle with picking on what to do next in video games especially Minecraft due to the only resource being constantly needed being food, so I never feel like I know what needs to be done next while I do like solving puzzles and figuring out stuff.
Is there a complete guide on recommended machines to build or at least where to start? I have tried to get into create multiple times but each time I just never know what to do next.
I am sorry if this is a common question this mod seems amazing and I want to enjoy it too, is there possibly a modpack that does this too? I saw the create above and beyond modpack but my computer might not be able to run it and It also calls itself a "challenge pack" when I know very little about the mod. But I believe it has quests and such to help guide the player.

One thing you can do as a personal challenge, would be to try automating every automateable block with Create. You'll be at it a while! Otherwise, if you don't mind playing on 1.16, I'd really recommend the modpack Create: Above and Beyond. It's a modpack that includes a bunch of big mods, that are very well-integrated together, and it comes with a quest-line to help guide you through the progression.

I wanna try a playthrough with this mod but its a hit overwhelming. I tried some youtube videos but they only covered a couple of mechanics. I’d really like advice on what I should start doing, and what I should aim for.

Honestly if you wanna learn create just build a modpack with create jei and your choice of QoL mods and just go on from there and DO NOT INSTALL ANY OTHER MAJOR MOD JUST VERY MINOR MODS THAT DON'T CHANGE THE OVERALL GAMEPLAY OF THE VANNILLA GAME AND ESPECIALLY DON'T INSTALL ANY OTHER TECH MOD EVEN IF IT LOOKS LIKE IT WON'T CHANGE THAT MUCH ahem... sorry for being loud but this is a very common mistake that new player make when trying to learn the create mod. They install a bunch of mods and don't focus on create and never learning the mod properly Create has an amazing tutorial system called Ponder where if you hold W on an item it will show you a little animation of how to use it (By the way just a reminder but there are usualy multiple pages in a Ponder animation if you press D or Click the next button it will show you the following animation. I'm telling you this because I've seen a lot of people confused online on certain mechanics because they have never clicked the next button on ponders) I also don't recommend any create mod expert pack (Like Above and Below) because they already assume you know the mod Another thing I recommend is Not installing Drill and Storage mods Create already has a solution for both of these Although the mod looks complicated from my experince its actually much more easier then redstone but harder than most other tech mods Also sorry for poor grammar I'm not a native speaker if you have any questions just comment on this comment

If you’re not playing a pack, just make sure you have JEI and use the ponder option to see what things do. Other than that, a good automatic crop farm is always helpful

Start with the purest of basics: mine andesite, iron, and zinc, and harvest plenty of wood. You will want in order, shafts, cogs large and small, andesite casing (right click stripped logs with andesite alloy), water wheels and a hand crank, a mechanical press and depo, a mechanical mixer and basin, two mechanical saws, a second press with a basin this time, a millstone, and one to thee fans for washing, smoking, and blasting. All these machines can be operated manually or semi manually. You don’t need to worry about automating everything right off the bat. Build a workshop out of these components as you go, save one saw and the hand crank for cutting tall trees, and then you’ll be primed to really begin building proper factories. Your first three factory farms should be wood, wheat, and iron.
