Hi guys, I just built my very first storage system and I'm eager to start using it, but I ran into a problem trying to use categories on the stock link.
With chests, I usually have some labelled "stone", which contain all my stone blocks and their building variants like slabs and stairs. Then I also have one or two chests labelled "wood" which contain logs, planks, stairs, slabs, sticks, etc.
For my stock link, I'd really like to use similar categories. The only way to do so with filters that I know of is to manually specify each and every item in a regular filter, since I don't see anything on the attribute filter that could help with this.
Does anybody know if there's a quicker way to specify which items go in which category? If not, I'd love to know how you use categories, if you use them at all. Thanks!
I decided to use the stock keeper as storage; and I learnt how to do category's but how do make it so that, say, all of the casings are next to each other or the cogs are together as I don't want to make a whole new category for this. Please help.
I've basically worn out my welcome at Google searching for any sort of free API or data set that maps stock ticker to sector/industry. Yes, I know that individual sites like Yahoo Finance display this information on a per-ticker basis, but I'm trying to pull down a "complete" data set that I can store locally and use without resorting to screen scraping individual pages. Ideally, there would be an easy way to refresh that data over time (e.g., monthly). I would think this would be relatively simple, but I can't seem to find this, other than scraping. Some of the obvious places (e.g., SEC EDGAR) don't seem to have this data, which surprised me. Any ideas? Am I overlooking something obvious? I'm OK doing some programming and synthesizing the result from multiple sources, if that's required. Thanks in advance.
