You can order whatever phone model you want, and it will be carrier unlocked directly from apple. Just pop in your old SIM card. October 24, 2017On the iPhone 11 deal at cricket, am I locked to the 60/month plan for 6 months, or is it only for two months, and I can switch to a different cricket plan afterward? What about the iPhone 12 deal? (New customer who needs a number)
• it's only for 2 months, you can switch to a cheaper plan at month 3
• this process works with any of the deals. If the deal is "get $PHONE for $PRICE when you also buy $MONTHS of service" then you can switch to whatever plan you want after you complete those $MONTHS of service.
You can do that switch via your online account and or online chat when it's getting close to your monthly renewal date

You can choose T-Mobile as the carrier. Since you are buying a Pro model of iPhone, you will not be required to connect the iPhone to T-Mobile at checkout. Once it arrives, however, during setup, iPhone will ask you to enter your T-Mobile number to connect it to T-Mobile and you will not see any option to bypass this. Just enter a random phone number (or your own, doesn't matter) and click "Continue". The process will fail after the third attempt and you will see a new option to skip Carrier Connection and proceed with setup. Everything should be smooth sailing and the phone will continue to be finance on your Apple Card. Alternatively, you could pay for the phone in full, charge the full amount to your Apple Card, and then text Apple Card Support and ask them to connect it to a Monthly Instalment Plan. Doing that would let you skip the T-Mobile part of iPhone setup but I'd personally not feel comfortable having to hope GS converts the charge to an instalment plan, although people have done it without issue. Looks like that no longer the case, as you have to use ATT/Verizon/TMobile now. Question is - if I buy the ATT version so I can still do the monthly payment option, will that phone work on Cricket since Cricket uses ATT service?

Yes they do but its in store only and not available in all states. There are only five states that don't offer leasing. you can go here https://approve.me/cricket#/ and see what you are approved for. Usually they will approve people for about $600 but you might be able to get that raised by calling them. After that you take your lease ID to a store, pick the phone you want, make $50 payment and then your lease begins. Payments are made in the cycle of your choosing based on payment dates. My suggestion is to take the 90-day buyout option as soon as you can, other wise you end up paying a crazy amount of money for the phone. If you do the 90-buy out you only pay 10% over the cost of the phone.
