What network bands does iPhone 15 support for Cricket?
Does iPhone 15 have eSIM technology?
NOTE: Issue resolved. Cricket provided a QR code to activate service on new phone
I’ve been a Cricket customer for several years. I decided to buy a newer unlocked iPhone from Apple directly (as I had my current iPhone 12). After transferring all data from my old to my new iPhone 15 it says I need to Install a cellular plan. I try this and at first it tells me my SIM is not supported and my phone number can’t be transferred because my account is ineligible!? Then after rebooting both devices (trying to diagnose) it attempts a transfer but fails to complete. At present, neither phones seem to be usable to send/receive calls or texts now. The iPhone 15’s are compatible with Cricket and only have eSIMs.
Is anyone else having trouble migrating to an Apple iPhone 15?
Cricket support - any insight regarding your customers having trouble migrating?
Im thinking of buying a AT&T locked iphone 15 pro and ive been looking around and theres mixed answers so i was wondering if my cricket plan would be able to work on this phone?
Hi,
I know this post has been made before but not with all of the questions, at least those I originally had, answered. So I wanted to clarify that, as the title suggests, the iPhone 15 Pro for AT&T financed using the Apple Card does work on Cricket Wireless. I wanted to clear this up as there was some mixed information in comments of previous posts, you do not need to pay in full for an unlocked phone from Apple - financing is available and the AT&T model can be used on the Cricket Wireless network.
I did not need to go in person to convert my SIM to an ESIM, but I did have some initial issues as I was too eager to setup my new phone that I skipped a few steps.
When you are setting up your new iPhone make sure that you are either in at Cricket store, on Livechat or speaking to a representative on the phone prior to set-up to ask them about converting your SIM to an ESIM on the newer phone.
I was asked for my PIN, phone number for the SIM, and IMEI number as well as an email address for the QR code to be sent (this will be used for your ESIM), so be sure to have all of this information ready.
The rest of the process was quite easy, setup as per usual on your new phone with your specific preferences. The ESIM process did not initially work for me as I transferred my number from my old phone to my new one using Apple’s method and it did not convert the SIM to an ESIM. It also transferred my number but had to reset a few more times after and I lost access to Cellular Data and capabilities until I was able to get in touch with a Livechat Agent.
Highly recommend talking to cricket FIRST before doing the new phone setup through Apple.
I know this may sound straightforward and obvious, but it wasn’t when I was trying to setup my phone and I was losing hope of it ever working, I want fellow members to avoid this emotional distress if I can help it lol
