Someone either paying it for you, accident, or purposely. Idk. For 3 months I wasn’t able to pay my own bill. I went in to ask what’s going on. The guy in the store says he has no idea why my bill is being paid. But it wasn’t cricket. That was before the new 60 dollar plan. But, I was grateful for whomever did it. Idk who. YES. I spent 4 HRS TRYING TO PAY MY BILL. I used desktop, cricket app, my card was declined. I called my card, they treated me like a criminal attempting fraud. I called cricket and was disconnected 4 times, finally one guy in India of course (I can't understand them) called me back after the call was dropped. I asked him to EXTEND THE DUE DATE WHICH FOR MY ACCOUNT WAS TODAY. HE DID. by 6 days because I was going to lose my service. I decided to check cricket to see if anyone else is having this problem, and there you were. My card customer service told me to go to another merchant but I bought a prepaid visa debit card specifically to pay my cricket bill. I told cricket I'll try going into a cricket store with the card but they will charge me a $5 service fee. So he put a credit on my account for $5, so the fee will be the same. They must be having issues,I can't even use the app, it's just a green screen. Had to go to cricketwireless.com. this has been a stressful 7 hrs. I just want to pay my bill too. Cricket is absolutely terrible they have no one in the US working and if they don’t feel like helping you they’ll just hang up I’ve had been hung up on three times today by this trash company half of them I couldn’t understand and when I asked to be transferred to a supervisor I’ve been hung up on multiple times the auto pay just stopped working and when I called them they tried to say it was my issue my bank says It is not it is cricket and they wanna try to charge me more money to reactivate a service I’ve had for years and never missed one payment never had an issue till now with payment any recommendations for a company that has good service where I can get two lines for 100 bucks More on reddit.com

It's not a trick at all. Just pay on time and there isn't a fee. I understand if the website doesn't work but making payments in store or on the app on time will not charge you the fee. The in-store fee is $5 and app is free. Your issue sounds like user error respectfully. More on reddit.com
