I am seriously starting to believe crimson armor is better because of the life regen, whats your take? Which one is better?

They are both good Pre-Hardmode armors. But Molten Armor is better suited for tanks while Crimson Armor gives you more a little bit of more damage and life regeneration.

I like the way the crimson armor looks. Fashion > all.

If it is WOF use molten armor

Whichever one came with your world, unless you're already doing a class focus. I've beaten the WoF with necro armor.

The title is somewhat self-explanatory. I'm planning on doing a ranger build, and I want to know If i should stay with fossil armor, or if I should switch to crimson armor instead. I haven't really been able to find a solid answer anywhere, and I'm having trouble deciding.

I’d say crimson armor. Crimson armor gives 16 Defense +6% damage and better life regeneration. Fossil armor gives 13 defense +5% range damage +8% range crit chance and a 20% chance not to consume ammo. Over all the extra defense and life regen is nice and still 6% extra damage makes crimson better choice for a general ranger build. If you are trying to go for pure damage then fossil armor. Once you get to the dungeon though necro armor is the better choice.

Fossil armor has a higher critical-hit chance and innate ammo conservation, but Crimson armor has higher defense, increased regeneration, and a damage bonus that applies to all weapons. Try them both out and see which one you prefer. If you do switch to Crimson armor, keep the Fossil armor around in case you want to duplicate sand or something.

Hey! So I am very new to the world of Terraria. I have about 10 hours on my account and have Tungsten Armour which isn’t very strong. What armour should I go for next, and after that, etc. Thanks in advance.

Gold or Platinum armor is slightly better than Tungsten so you could go for that. The next armor sets after that require you fight a specific boss. (Technically you don't need to defeat them to get the materials to craft the armor, though.)

I want to take down WoF on my ranger world. Both of them have +19 def. Crimson armor has worse damage bonus, but it gives me health regeneration

Necro. It has a better damage bonus, and the set bonus is specifically suited for rangers. You can use a Band of Regeneration or Regeneration Potion, or both, to get the regeneration, if you have to. Not to mention, you can put Campfires and Heart Lanterns along your bridge.

You should never wear crimson armour to fight wall of flesh, its either your class specific bis (necro, obsidian, jungle/meteorite, or hellstone) or hellstone armour for the bonus defence.

I have the meteorite set and pistol, and is able to get the Crimson set (I also have Starfury). I wan't to explore the dungeon, but need to kill the skeleton.

And which one is better in general?

Generally meteor armor will carry you all the way to hard mode. 0 mana space gun is just stupid.

I like to use wooden armor until I get the Hellstone armor :P

With a new character, playing through Crimson is way better than Corruption by a lot.

Ground enemies are far easier to deal with than flying enemies.
Terrain is normal compared to the giant death pit that you can get knocked into.
Getting to the orbs requires less platforming.
Crimson comes with an open arena to fight in.
The unique drops are better for more classes (Panic Necklace vs Band of Starpower, Spear better than flail.)
Extra unique fish (Heartreach potion fish).
Crimson Armor (HP regen & 6% more damage; good for all classes).

HM:

Ichor is the best flask in the game.
Vampire knives is one of the best melee weapons.
Better unique weapon from fishing (Bladetongue Ichor vs Toxikarp Poison).

Downsides:

Spiders.

What Corruption has over Crimson:

Musket is better.
Worm Scarf is better.
Wrath potion is better.
Shadow Orb consistent floating is better and less annoying than the bouncing Crimson Heart.

Vilethorn is the superior magic weapon, though. Also, you can craft a panic necklace in Corruption worlds, if I'm not mistaken.

Crimson is better, but there are some other things Corruption has that you skipped over. It's actually easier to get to the orbs. You just blow up downwards and break it, then easily get back up to fight the boss. Unlike the hearts where if you're slow, you're gonna get trapped and die. Toxikarp is actually a really decent weapon and works very well in early HM. More versatile than Bladetongue Dart rifle is better than dart pistol. It's easier to farm vitamins. Corruptors are common and easy to deal with, while floaty grosses are just annoying to farm Scourge of the Corruptor is at the same level as Vampire Knives. imo it's better even, but that's a bit more of a subjective thing You can't accidently die to stupid spiders while fighting the boss Music and aesthetic. This is technically a subjective thing, but still. Who prefers the boring music and the plain red and yellow colours of the crimson to the awesome music and the sick purple and green colours of the corruption? Still, crimson is better because of ichor. And the brain of confusion can be considered equal to the worm scarf as well. It's a good thing that you can create artificial biomes if you plan on playing on only one world
