Not soft, not silky, not fuzzy, but CRISP. Thicker preferred over thin.
I used to have AMAZING sheets that I took for granted, not realizing how difficult replacing them would prove to be. The one set I have I can't find a tag for. I just have nearly a half dozen sub-par sheets that make me sad. Want to level up this year and re-discover my sheet soul mate.
Thanks for any reccos you share!

Recommendations for really CRISP sheets
Where to buy crispy, crunchy, noisy, wrinkly cotton sheets?
The Vermont Country Store.
I always get their catalogs but they have a website. I cannot vouch for their bedding but they specialize in ‘old’ new products if that makes sense. The old brands that your grandma swore by, the shampoos your mom used in the 70’s, the weird candies your grandpa had a dish of, stuff like that.
They advertise their sheets very similarly to what you’re describing.

Sateen is smoother than percale, but percale is cooler. Percale will resist piling better. I’d say cotton percale is what you want.

Crisp sheets are flat, they don't have any fuzziness to them. When you climb into bed with crisp percale sheets they will feel cool and smooth, not rough. Perfect for the middle of summer.
