Hi all, I’ve been given a Windows 10 Pro laptop with work, for years I have used macs and a Wacom tablet and have used the ctrl+click to right click. Is there an option to have this shortcut in windows? Seems I can only do shift+f10 and that’s just not practical. Can I adapt the inputs at all to use Ctrl+click on windows?

Instead of Shift + F10, you can use PowerToys to Map a Key to open right-click context menu in Windows 11/10. Note: After you install PowerToys, on the first launch, you should toggle Always run as administrator on, and turn on Run at startup to let the app run in the background.

I just switched from a Macbook to a Windows laptop and I would like to make my touchpad more Macbook-like, where there is no right-click on it unless you press Ctrl + mouse. Can I do the same on Win 11? Left and right clicks on my touchpad are too close and I keep misclicking. I set it up where both left and right clicks function as a left click, like on a MacBook, but now I just would like to add CTRL hotkey to do the right click when needed.
I use Lenovo Slim Pro 9i, Win 11. Tried to mess with the touchpad settings but I'm not seeing it as an option anywhere.

Could you do two finger tap to right click instead? That's what I do on my MacBook and windows laptop.

First of all: wtf!? I tried to use a friend's macbook once to move a couple files around and couldn't figure out how to right click, that's so unintuitive haha Anyway, I made this extremely simple script you can run (it contains like 3 lines) using AutoHotKey that will turn ctrl+left click into a right click. If you don't want to download a .exe file from google drive though, install AutoHotKey and paste this into a new file: ^LButton:: ; Ctrl + Left Click Click right return Then, if you'd like to have it run at startup (so you don't have to run the file every time you start the laptop): Right click the file and create a shortcut of it Select the shortcut and press ctrl+x, to cut the file ('copy' to move somewhere else) Press the windows key + R and type shell;startup and press enter Ctrl+v to move your shortcut into the folder Now it should run automatically whenever you boot up your laptop! Since you said you set it up to left click no matter which button you press, ctrl+ right click should still right click but let me know if it doesn't
