Eliminating the need to Control+Click on hyperlinks
In Microsoft PowerPoint presentation...in my slides, I have
[Powerpoint Online] How to link to another slide in the same PowerPoint
Clickable links in PowerPoint?
I'm legit about to cry. I've been sitting on this presentation for a while now, and I need to send it to my teacher ASAP.
I couldn't get the offline version of powerpoint for free anywhere, so now I have to use PP Online. The onedrive.live.com one. I'm also on Windows 7, if that matters for the online version.
So what I need to do:
-
I need to put up a navigation bar - Basically, three buttons on every slide, that when clicked will go back, forth or to the title slide.
-
I need to link the topics in the overview slide to the actual slide about the topic. I have 5 slides to link to the overview slide.
I tried to research, but I didn't know how to phrase it, and everything I found said there should be a window popping up - but theres no goddamn window popping up and im so frustrated and i cant do this for another 4 hours. please help me
First be sure you have pressed return or <space>after the hyperlink.. it should turn blue to confirm being active. To use the hyperlink in Normal view right-click anywhere within it then select Hyperlink> Open Hyperlink from the contextual menu.
Sadly that doesnt work for me, maybe because I'm using a Mac and pressing 'ctrl' + click acts as a right-click
Right-click the linked shape, choose Open Hyperlink.
How can I navigate from one slide to another specific slide using a hyperlink?
Tab
Go to the first or next hyperlink on a slide.
Shift+Tab
Go to the last or previous hyperlink on a slide.
Enter (while a hyperlink is selected)
Perform the "mouse click" behavior of the selected hyperlink.

The shortcuts are the same for PowerPoint 2007:

Simple click doesn't work, and my software is already set to have Ctrl + Click open hyperlinks. If there are any other suggestions?
Thanks for following up. It's only in Word. I hadn't tested it in my other Office software, but I just checked in PowerPoint, and Ctrl + Click works as it should.
