My inclination would be to go by the sticker that's directly on the transmission itself, vs the extra sticker that Cub added. Especially if there is some option to return it, if really needed. Cub / MTD did not make this transmission, ZD-ANBB-7MDB-34PX is a Hydro Gear part number. Cub has an incentive to not be completely transparent, but you could contact their support and ask about buying the Hydro Gear part and whether it's the same as their part #. More on reddit.com

I am not familiar with your particular transmission, but in the ones I have been into, when the thrust bearing comes apart the bearing balls beat up the piston group/rotor pretty badly too, and in some cases metal tries to go between the piston group/rotor and damages the 'center section' as well.

May 2, 2021 - When I asked Cub's tech support whether I could fill through the side "level indicator plug" for convenience they said it was not recommended. I asked the same question of the Hydro-Gear rep and he said it doesn't matter whether you fill through the top or side plug, as long as it's not through the breather. They actually offer a fitting that comes with their service kit that threads directly into the side plugs.

I'm getting ready to order / replace a Right Hand (RH) transaxle (TA) on a Cub Cadet (CC) model 17AREACM010 (ZT1 54 Year 2/21). My question is, when I took the picture of the RH TA sticker off the unit, I see part number ZD-ANBB-7MDB-34PX. When I search for this part on mowpart.com and other websites I see a price of approx $775. However, when I go to CC's website and search for the RH TA under this model and year it provides a different part number 618P07469 and the price on CC's website is $1250.
I believe this part is manufactured by MTD.
Does anyone know why the part number listed on CC's website vs what the original sticker shows is different?

The price difference is significant. I want to make sure I order OEM part, but the difference in the part numbers are confusing me. Is it the exact same product / manufacturer but CC has there own SKU#? I did get that part number right off the original transaxle, so I'm confused. I appreciate any advice.

FWIW, I was in line behind a guy at Advance Auto the other day who had a late model Cub Cadet riding mower with an axle seal leak.
