I haven't had to deal with any repairs as of yet. My XT2 is just over a year old with 91 hours. That said, cub is now made by MTD so it's easy to find parts. A Troy Bilt bagger fits a Cub Cadet, just doesn't say Cub on it. Things like transmissions are mostly the same across brands. JD does use some CVT and lower line TT hydros in their D/E series than most other brands, but are mostly swappable. Regardless of brand, look at the transmission and engine. These are the two biggest things that fail and also the most expensive to replace. More on reddit.com

A couple years ago when I was researching lawn tractors, I discovered the Craftsman Pro series was nearly the same as the Cub Cadet XT1 series with a tighter turn radius. Some reviews said there were problems with the steering feel. I opted to purchase an XT2, which has some nice upgraded from the XT1 series and isna dealer only item. Warranty will be through your local dealer anyway and price is about the same so I recommend purchasing from a dealer. More on reddit.com
