Hello everyone, hoping for some quick insight.
I am buying my first zero turn, mowing about a half acre but the lot is on a somewhat decent hill and I need to get my time back from my electric walk behind.
Local shop has the Ultima ZT1 42 FAB in stock and it seems like everything is about 10% off. Seems like everything else across other brands still gets you a Kohler 7000 or a Kawasaki and 2200 gears. Is there anything else worth looking at in this price range?
Also, the sale gives me some headroom to move up to a bigger deck with more anti scalp wheels, I need to look at the 42 and 48 side by side to see little differences like that a bit more I think.
I can get a Graveley ZT 42 with serviceable hydros for $5,000 or a bunch of multi colored stuff that seems equivalent to the cub cadet for $4,000.
The Husqvarna Z242 seems to have 2800 rather than 2200, but I'm not familiar enough to know if that's an upgrade or just a variation, maybe it drives 3 blades instead of 2.
A Toro Time cutter with MyRide was originally what I was shopping for but can't find anything locally yet.
Just looking for a little more insight as I'm not sure if I should pull the trigger on the cub cadet or wait for sales. I'm in no rush, I can stretch the budget a bit, but I'm not interested in paying for some gigantic machine I could mow the 7th hole with taking space up if it's overkill.
Thanks for any responses!

I like the engine and the price, but have never owned a zero turn. My yard is pretty flat if you don't count ditches. But, parts will get pretty high sometimes.
Thoughts?
I know yall aren’t the biggest fan of Cub Cadet but this was too good a deal to pass up imo.
Just purchased an acre and a half in the country, mostly flat with few rocks. Main thing to content with is cacti but I’ll get them pulled sooner then later.
