I have an xt1 with bag attachment and I'm having issues with the clippings stopping and clogging in the hose. I cleaned the deck, though I really need to wire wheel the inside to smooth some spots. I've cleaned the bags to ensure airflow and checked to see that I've got a decent seal between the deck and the bag attachment. What else could cause the issue? What blades would yall recommend that would increase the flow (if possible)?

There isn’t a “universal” one. You need the bagger for MTD tractors. You can buy a Craftsman one for MTD made Craftsmans sure, it’ll be packed as a bagger to fit 42/46 decks - but they aren’t really any cheaper than the Cub branded one More on reddit.com

Cub cadet xt1 bagger issue
I have the same mower, same bagger attachment, and some unfortunate news—it sucks ( or, doesn’t suck ). If the grass has any moisture at all, it plugs the tube and that’s that. I did get some better results when I went to gator mulching blades, but honestly, I just use my mulch plug now More on reddit.com

Hello, I have an XT1 LT42 and I’m wondering if there are any options for a bagger besides the Cub Cadet brand ones. I’m wondering if say a craftsman would fit. I’d love a bagger, I just can’t stand spending $500 on one and would hate to buy a “universal” one and find that it doesn’t fit. Thanks for any help!

Another MTD brand may work. It will most probably depend on the deck chute configuration (same size hole, mounting tab for the strap, receiver for the bagger).
